Measuring almost 7 metres in length, it is one of the largest free hanging stalactites in the world and the longest stalactite in the Northern Hemisphere. The Burren, a karst limestone region of approximately 300 sq km. is a landscape, designated an Area of Special Conservation, is truly blessed with the most diverse and beautiful flora in Ireland including Arctic Mountain Avens and Mediterranean dense flowered orchid.
