The apartment is near the city centre of Lahr but totally quiet, surrounded from many old trees and charming villas from the turn of the century. It is located in a house with 3 living units on the second floor (attic floor). It was furnished with modern furniture and great care. The new high quality kitchen contains everything one need, also dish washer and washing machine. Therefore everything is set up for an independent holiday. With a double bed in the bedroom and 2 bed facilities in a small room, as well as a spacious living room and kitchen it is ideal for 4 people. On the balcony you have the possibility to enjoy afternoon and evening sun, to relax after a bike tour, a hike, a trip, a city walk, a walk through the close-by vineyards. A lot of restaurants (also low cost) of the region offer the joy of the Baden cuisine.

The nice town of Lahr is shaped because of its romantic Old Town with idyllic alleys and lovely road cafes which invite to shop around as well as relaxing. On the ground of the Black Forest, the region takes all the advantages of the mild climate of the Rhine Plateau, therefore the summer is mostly longer. Embedded between vineyards and the first Black Forest hill, the town is an ideal starting point for various trips, be it sport, culture or contemplating. A relaxing boat tour through the nature reserve of Taubergiessen offers the beauty of nature, a visit of the Europapark has something special for the young and the old. Spas, idyllic bike and hiking paths, horse riding and golf facilities give you the right balance when it comes to sport. Delicious food of the Badenian or Alsacian cuisine will give you a lot of pleasure. In late autumn, many parts of the city centre of Lahr are decorated artful with Chrysanthemes- a magnificent play of colours!

Wow What a deal!!!

We booked this place for 4 nights during July 2008. The daughter of the owner let us in, she spoke great English and she was very nice and friendly. This place was the cheapest place that we stayed on our whole holiday. The apartment is HUGE and clean and lovely. The bathroom is dated, but they said that was next to get reno'ed...but it was very clean. Tons of amenities...towels, bedding, a wahing machine (with laundry soap and softner), a fully loaded kitchen that was very big for Europe standards. The owners have tons of brochures, maps and information available in the apartment...even a train schedule, bus schedule and a phone book. We loved it, and would absolutely recommend it to friends. We didn't spend much time in the town, but it is less than an hour drive to Triberg, and the drive is lovely...as well as close to Strasburg and the French border, and Baden Baden. The town was nice, but not real touristy...which was a relief after 3 weeks of tourist traps... and probably the reason this place was such a great price. We hope others will stay at this amazing place...and thank the owner for such a great stay.

Great location and great apartment!!

We stayed at this apartment for one week the end of June 08. It was exactly like the pictures and the description on the web. It was clean, modern and spacious for two adults and two children. It was close to the city centre (only a five minute walk) where there are lots of shops and restaurants. It was located in a nice quiet neighbourhood. I would definately stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

Eine sehr gepflegte Wohnung. Es gibt genügend Platz für eine Familie mit 6 Kinder. In der Wohnung ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was das Herz begehrt. Die Betreuung vor Ort durch Fr. Philipp ist wirklich sehr zuvorkommen und hilfsbereit. Für einen Ausflug in den Europapark bestens geeignet. In Lahr ist alles vorhanden, Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etc.
Jederzeit wieder!
