The 100 square meters apartment in the heart of Athens can accommodate up to 5 people at one time. The apartment is located at the area of Ambelokipus on Mesogion on the top floor (5th) with a 40 square meters balcony. The apartment has been recently fully renovated

The apartment is like it's described on the web site and it's big enough for two couples with children (we were two couples with 2 little babies and one child). It's easily reachable from Athens International Airport by bus, while the metro is 15 minutes away by foot.
In the apartment there was all we needed and it was very clean.
Next to the apartment there is a little supermarket and you can find, in a walking distance, shops and some restaurants.
I'd recommend it especially for families!
We stayed at the apartment for 3 nights in early Aug. There are two large bedrooms plus a large living room and a spacious kitchen. We are a family of 4 with two older teens. It worked perfectly for us. There is also a large terrace that can be quite a nice place to hang out on a cooler night. The bus from the airport (X95) stops right in front of the apt. The kitchen had everything we needed. The double bed is actually a king size bed in the US standard. The mattresses are firm and comfortable (maybe a little hard for some, but we like them firm). The apt was clean and well appointed. There are several small grocery stores on the street that is behind of the apt and a Carrefour about three locks away. Angelos met us at the bus station and he and his wife showed us around the apartment and provided valuable information about transportation options, shops and restaurants. The only negative about the apt is that it takes a good 15 minutes walk to the nearest metro station. In 90+ degree days, it felt a long walk. There are not many eating options close by either. There are a few restaurants on the way to or near the metro station. There are buses going to the center of the city, but we never tried them. Like all the older buildings, the elevator is quite small.
I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for spaces and do not mind walk a little bit from the metro station.
The apartment is big and clean. It has all necessary amenities. Big terrace.
It is comfortable to get there from the airport. The bus X95 stops in front of the building entrance (but dont miss the stop - it took us just 20 minutes to get there from the airport).
A big shop Carrefour is about 7 minutes away.
It takes a bit long time to get to the center - Syntagma square. We were always unlucky with the bus and had to wait about 15 minutes (or 20-30 on the weekend). Then it's 8-10 min by bus and then 5-10 minutes walk. You can also get there by metro somehow.
You can actually also take a trolleybus to/from the Carrefour shop.
We (family of 3 with a toddler) stayed in this apartment for two weeks during March and had a fabulous time.
The owner was extremely helpful during the booking process (which was a bit complicated due to our dates changing), when we arrived and when we had to extend our stay by a day at the end. The airport bus going to the centre of Athens virtually stops in front of the house, which made for an easy and stress-free arrival.
The apartment itself is spacious, very nicely furnished and well equipped with everything you need to feel at home. There is a large terrace too, which is nice for outside meals and watching the hustle and bustle of Athens. The bedrooms are at the quiet side of the flat, so being next to a busy road is not a problem.
The advantage of being on a main road is that getting to anywhere in Athens from the apartment is very easy. We bought a 7-day ticket for the public transport which meant all we needed to do was hop onto one of the buses stopping in front of the house and they would take us to the nearest Metro station (Ambelokipi) or all the way to the very heart of Athens - Syntagma Square.
There is an abundance of shops near the apartment - a lovely bakery/patisserie just across the road and another one not far away, several small supermarkets in the immediate area and also many Asian shops. And for the big shopping - a large Carrefour market about 10 minutes walk away. Finding a place to eat out is easy too.
There is WIFI and satellite TV and a DVD player, so staying in can be enjoyable too.
Overall I would highly recommend this apartment to anybody spending time in Athens and who wants a home from home rather than an anonymous hotel room.
The photos and description on this page accurately portray the apartment. It's spacious, well equipped and clean, and it feels very safe and secure.
The flat itself is on a busy main road, but the bedrooms are at the back of the flat
and so are pretty quiet. Having said that, noise isn't really a problem even in the room adjacent to the road (the lounge) - the flat is high up enough and is also set back from the road thanks to the large balcony.
The location of the apartment is very good for the express airport bus, and for local buses into the city centre. The nearest metro station is not far - 10-15 mins away. The city centre itself is walkable (little more than half an hour for fastish walkers).
If I return to Athens I will definitely be looking to stay here again - highly recommended.
The flat is very well-situated, within short distance from the centre by bus (from outside the front door direct to Syntagma) or metro (10 minutes' walk and 3 stops). It is on a main road, but there is little noise, as it is a fifth-floor flat (lift available). At night the area was quiet. Small shops for provisions (bread (excellent), dairy products, fruit and vegetables) just round the corner, and a supermarket also close (but it obviously sells international goods, and we preferred local). Many good and cheap places for pizzas, etc on the road towards the metro. The owner himself advised us about these. Restaurants as such are of course available, for those who want them, in very large numbers in the centre, though not close by.
We are a family of five (all either adult or very near) and had plenty of room. The owner kindly provided a folding bed, but there is a large settee as well, and the room involved is large enough for both, so even six persons would be very comfortable. All rooms had lots of space, including the kitchen, where we in fact all ate together, although the dining area in the living room is even larger.
Everything was clean, and everything needed was provided. The owner is extremely kind and thoughtful. He left us maps of streets and metro, together with helpful instructions about where to get buses, useful phone numbers, details of internet access, etc, and there are also local reference books (and some fiction) on the shelves.
A generally very pleasant atmosphere about it, and I would very warmly recommend this apartment in all respects.
