Sundial Cottage is a well equipped comfortable cottage that has its accommodation all on one level. From the entrance hall you find the well equipped kitchen with gas cooker, fridge freezer, washing/dryer machine and a dining area with table and chairs seating four people, this leads to the charming living room with comfortable furniture and TV with SKY (all channels) and DVD/video player. . Bedroom one has a double bed, wardrobe and bedside tables; bedroom two has twin beds, wardrobe and bedside table. The family bathroom has a corner bath, overhead shower, WC and wash hand basin. French doors give access to the patio, (with private gate to the beach) where you can enjoy a BBQ or alfresco dining, a patio table, chairs and parasol are provided, Off road parking for 2 cars. Situated on the fabulous Suffolk Heritage Coast in the historic fishing town of Aldeburgh. Golf, tennis, bird watching and sailing make this the perfect location for an adventure packed family holiday or get together with friends, plenty to do and lots of nearby towns and villages of interest. Closeby tourist attractions include; Snape Maltings, a centre of cultural interest based around a famous concert hall. Orford, a river village with an excellent smoke house and the interesting Orford Ness. Southwold, a cosmopolitan sea side town with well known pier, light house and town for shopping. Thorpeness, a Victorian village with a central Mere for boating also a great golf and tennis club. A little further afield you will find Lavenham, a fantastic medieval town, Dedham, the heart of Constable country and the location of John Constable's famous Hay Wain painting, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and Norwich.

Aldeburgh: Sundial Cottage is adjacent to Aldeburgh's unspoilt beach and just a two minute walk to the charming High Street which has changed little from Victorian times although now boasting a range of exclusive shops, high quality restaurants, art galleries and even an award winning fish and chip shop which is not to be missed! With a sailing club, golf course and tennis courts to meet the needs of the more active you will also find specialist wine shops, museum and independent cinema for those looking for a more relaxing stay. Famous for its musical connections with the composer Benjamin Britten and the tenor Peter Pears the annual Aldeburgh Festival is held at the nearby Snape Maltings. Other coastal and historical towns nearby include Southwold, Thorpeness, Blythburgh, Dunwich, Orford and Woodbridge.

The Beach: The beach is just 10 metres away, there is a side gate from the patio giving access. All along the beach you will find traditional fishermans huts selling the catch of the day. Aldeburgh beach is also famous for its scallop sculpture by Maggie Hambling. From Aldeburgh you can walk to the next village, Thorpeness where you will find an interesting Victorian village which is centered by 'The Mere'. Here you can go boating or enjoy an ice cream at the Tea Rooms.

It is recommended that you book in advance as these restaurants are very busy, especially on bank holiday weekends and peak holiday season.
