Condo can sleep 2 adults and a third adult or child-Unique second and third floor layout with an interior spiral staircase to a large Master Bedroom. The Condo is perched on the top 2nd and 3rd Floors so no noise above from neighbors and is the most secure and quiet of all the Condos in the Building.
I have travelled to the North Coast of the Dominican Republic now for over 15 years after spending other years searching for the my second home in the Caribbean. The constant cooling trade winds of the North Coast along with the friendly people of Cabarete, DR sold me on relocating here for my retirement years. I love Cabarete and the unspoiled beaches all along the North Coast. You will fall in love as well.

This spacious 1 bedroom condo has fantastic Ocean views and the building's dedicated 75 yard path leads directly to a mostly deserted and expansive swimming beach. The Condo is a quick 20 minute drive from Puerto Plata's International airport (A short 1.5 hour flight from Miami) and is located 1.5 miles east of Cabarete. If you want the fun and excitement of the small and unique beach town of Cabarete with the tremendous weather of the North Coast and yet retire each night to the solitude of this condo with the only sound being the steady waves rolling into the close by beach, this is the place for your DR Adventure. This condo is the most private elevated corner 'mini penthouse' on the second and third floors in the building of only 10 units (no one above you). Our Bilingual Building Administrator will assist with your every request and transfers from and to POP Airport available on request for an extra charge.

I had the privilege to stay at this rental for 2 months, and am happy to write this positive review for your consideration. The suite is in excellent condition, with all amenities available, as well as, fully equipped. It should be noted that there are in fact two bathrooms (not one) and that there is a fully functional gas stove and oven (not seen in pictures). That said the condo is tastefully decorated, clean and exactly as depicted in the photos. Jim has been an excellent host. Speaking with him has been a pleasure and he is incredibly helpful and accommodating. The unit is among 10 other units in a well-maintained building which has three full-time staff members and night-time security (status-quo for the area). The building staff are very helpful as well. All of your needs will be looked after including bottled water, cleaning and laundry services. The area is quite a bit out of town (5-10min), you must have transportation. But that said, being away from the city center may be just what you are looking for. The ocean is in plain view, obstructed by a few trees, but is less than a hundred meters away – the surf is easily heard crashing on the beach. If you are looking for a place that is out of the way, and wish to relax without the hustle and bustle of town (which you can easily get to by car, taxi, motorcycle)…I highly recommend this location for your stay in Cabarete.
The condo is very clean and well- maintained. Very nice beach; close to many good restaurants and the staffs are friendly and very helpful!We stayed four months and the year before and we plan on coming back again.Lots of sport activities nearby.
My boyfriend and I stayed in this cute little condo for a month, and we really liked it. It very tastefully decorated and has amazing views. I loved that while I was taking a shower I could look at the ocean and the palm trees. It had everything you can possibly need. The owner was also very helpful and accommodating. The staff was also very nice and helpful. An overall good experience. The only thing, a car is needed!

This unit is on the first floor of a small 10 (or so) unit building that is off the main highway about 5 minutes. It was very quiet when we were there as no one else was in any of the other units. This may make some people nervous, but we enjoyed the privacy and the day staff of the gardener and maid were friendly and so was the night-time security guard. We felt safe the entire time.
The ocean is hard to see from this unit since it is on the first floor (although it is elevated about 6 feet above ground level in the back) but as noted in the description there is private access to the beach that is only a short walk (75 yards or so). Go up the stairs off the building and the ocean is easy to see from the stair landings.
Inside, the condo is well furnished with everything that is needed including a kitchen full of utensils, plates, glasses, etc. There are two ceiling fans and a couple of floor fans as well. The living room has a TV and DVD player and the bedroom had a TV with satellite connection. The bathroom is modern and very clean. The bed was comfy and there were extra pillows. Everything was very clean.
There is air conditioning, but only in the bedroom, not in the living area or kitchen. We were fine with that because of the cool sea breeze and the fans, but is something to be aware of.
There is wifi internet. The speeds weren't stellar but pretty average for the Dominican Republic in my experience. Somewhere around 2 or 3 mb/sec download when we were there.
Cabarete is about 5 minutes down the highway by car, so you'll need some kind of transportation if you want go into town. Public transportation is available on the highway and there are plenty of taxis and moto-taxis in the area too. We had our motorcycle and I felt safe having it parked at the condo.
Overall, it was a great deal and well worth the value.
Had a wonderful stay with my wife at Serenity del Sol, Found the description to be very accurate. Roomy unit in a small condo complex. Quiet, compfortable, tastefully decorated with a kind & helpful staff. We are already planning our return. A car is definately needed but you will love the beach in front of the condo, great for boogie-boarding & the softest sand ever! We loved it & so will you. I spoke with the owner at length before we traveled & he supplied valuable & accurate information for us. The rental car company he recommended was first rate, responding with a mechanic within 20 minutes of our call! We stayed 18 days, a great place at a fair price.

Low season rates are $70.00 per night from 15 May to 31 October each year. High Season rates are $125.00 per night from 1 Nov to 14 May each year. Low season monthly rental of $850.00 per month. All low season and long term rentals have an add on electrical surcharge to cover the use of the air conditioner (not needed in high season with stays of 2 weeks or less) and a one-time cleaning fee-$35.00
Payment of all rents must be paid in advance and collected into Owners bank before occupancy. The only exception to this are long term renters of 4 or more months.
