Four bedroom traditional Portuguese house (sleeps 6-8)

Casal Palma has beautiful views of the Portuguese countryside, a lovely pool area with loungers and seating for dining al-fresco. There is a sun deck and a gas BBQ as well as a charcoal BBQ. The garden has raised beds with flowers, orange, lemon and olive trees. The house is traditionally built with thick stone walls that keep the house cool in the summer. The windows are shuttered with insect screens. The main house has been carefully modernised and the owners have thought of everything to make this a real home from home. Sitting room with flat screen TV, Sky Satellite, DVD , CD, wood burner and comfortable sofas. The Main bedroom with double bed has a modern en-suite bathroom. Second bedroom with double bed. Children's bedroom with bunk beds,and a further modern bathroom with shower/ bath. The fourth bedroom has twin beds and is next to the family bathroom. Large dining room with an 8 seater oak table and well-equipped kitchen.

Pool: The pool is a generous 9m x 4.5m with gentle steps at the shallow end and a 2m depth at the deep end.

The cleanliness of the pool is guaranteed by the frequent attention of our pool maintenance company.

There is a beautiful dolphin motif on the floor of the pool which children and adults will all love.

Around the pool there are sun loungers and chairs provided and the orange and lemon trees gives dappled shade if it all gets too hot for you!

There are several patios/sundecks as well as around the pool area providing space to soak up the sun and enjoy the fantastic views.

We provide pool towels for your use. The pool is private and when you book with us it is completely yours - never shared!

With inflatables and toys to play with, the children(young and old..) will love being in the pool all day.

The BBQ is set close to the pool so you can cook and keep an eye on the fun in the pool.

Perfect summer weather, a beautiful pool and a large country retreat -you will be relaxed and happy !

Sao Bras: Situated in the perfect spot to enjoy all that the Algarve is famous for, excellent beaches, golf and water sport. The town itself has a long history and there is a museum where on Sundays there is often a jazz night. Sao Bras in the past was a cork centre and there are walks that take you through the rich countryside along the cork route and also a cork museum. This is where the beautiful cork bags are made as well as other items such as umbrellas and gloves and the shop is in the centre of Sao Bras. The town has lots of restaurants from places to get pizzas to international menus. A favourite with locals and visitors is Luis de Frango which is always busy as they serve freshly grilled chicken in a lovely atmosphere and it really is good value. For a change there is a beautifully maintained outdoor public pool in Sao Bras, set in the verbena gardens and with an attached cafe.

Theme parks: There is an excellent multi-lingual tourist information office in the centre of Sao Bras with details and brochures of all on offer in the Algarve including all the theme parks and activities available.

Main house sleeps up to 8 persons. A carefully restored Portuguese farmhouse, many of the original features have been retained including the bread oven and azulejos depicting Portuguese culture. The property is built using traditional methods and the thick stone walls keep the property cool in the summer. The house interior is protected by insect screens at all windows and doors. There is generous outdoor living space, including furnished outdoor eating areas, a private pool with tables and loungers and a sun deck. The house has 4 bedrooms: Master, with double bed and en-suite; front bedroom with double bed; bedroom 3 with twin beds and childrens room with bunk beds. There is generous sized dining room with large table (seats 8) and a well-equipped kitchen for your use.

I holidayed in the area and looked on the off chance for a peaceful property that could be developed without losing its Portuguese charm.

This house just grabbed me because of its fantastic views and peaceful aspect.The addition of the swimming pool added to its charm - perfect to swim in while enjoying the beautiful countryside.

I love sitting under the orange tree by the front door - it still makes me smile that I own an orange (and lemon and olive) tree!

Casal Palma is nestled on a sunny hillside with pretty views over the small hamlet of Juncais with typical white washed villas dotting the valley below. It offers the best of both worlds, the peace of the countryside yet the famous beaches of the Algarve are just twenty minutes by car.

This part of the Algarve has something for everyone, from the chic marina of Vilamoura to pretty island beaches that are reached crossing the blue lagoons of the Ria Formosa, a bird watchers delight.

For those who love to shop and enjoy good food there is Loule which has a daily market of freshly caught fish and locally grown fruits and vegetables.

Twenty kilometers south east is Tavira, often described as the 'jewel' of the Algarve, which has managed to retain its character and charm. Small brightly coloured fishing boats go out daily, and the unspoilt Island of Tavira is a beach lovers delight.

Activities include: Waterparks, Zoomarine, fishing, golf, walking, cycling, watersports, eating out.

    We can accept payment in pounds or euros so please specify and we will send you the payment details accordingly. The exchange rate is not set so will be calculated according to the rate at the time.

    A 20% deposit will secure your booking and then full payment is required 8 weeks before arriving.
    We ask for a refundable cheque for £200 to cover breakages which will be returned to you on departure after a quick check.
    Bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to arrival must be paid in full one week after confirmation.
  • - We are flexible about changeover days especially out of high season but do aim to keep bookings as close as possible.
    - We ask you to depart by 10.00am and arrival is from 2pm unless otherwise arranged.
    - We provide once weekly linen/towel changes and pool/beach towels are at your disposal
    - Car hire is essential and the earlier you book it the cheaper it is. During peak season availability is limited so please get your car hire organised to avoid disappointment.
    - I will be there on your arrival to meet and greet you and show you the property and its facilities.I am also available to answer any questions or concerns you may have during your stay and am happy to help in any way to make your holiday a lovely experience.

Notes: Extra cleaning can be arranged on request and babysitting is available as an optional extra. I will be available to help you with any questions/problems or concerns you may have during your stay. I am on site, in self contained accommodation, which is close to the main house. The rental accommodation is very private and the pool is not overlooked.You may see me at pre arranged times to do pool maintainance - otherwise I am pretty invisible and you will not be aware of me unless you need me! My aim is to make this holiday restful relaxing peaceful and fun for you and your children. Enjoyed a wonderful family holiday here August 2010. The property is set in a rural setting with fantastic views. The property is peaceful, spacious, clean, and a real home from home. The kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfortable and there is ample space outside.
The children had a great choice of DVD's, books and games as do the adults. The pool is fantastic and spotlessly clean.
We enjoyed lazy days by the pool and the odd night out visiting nearby Vilamoura.
Great correspondence with the owner who was very helpful - thank you for letting us stay in your home.
All in all a perfect family holiday and I would highly recommend this villa.

Relaxing holiday in a bautiful place

We wanted to have an easy, relaxing holiday in a peaceful place not far away from restaurants, markets etc.
This well-maintained, clean house with beautiful countryside views was exactly the place we were longing for.
We swam in the pool and read books under the lemontree.
It was easy to make dinners "at home" as well as visit the local restaurants.
The owner did everything well and were very flexible.
This summer I was there with my husband but I hope we`ll have an opportunity to return there with our three children.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Perfect for a family break in the sun as there is great family space. Beautiful rural situation but main holiday areas easily accessible as close to good roads. Accomodation spacious clean and functional. All modcons for a stress free holiday. Pool gorgeous with amazing views. We have stayed in both house and annex and no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family.
