Island Escape

My husband and I were looking for a place that we could relax and unwind from all the stresses of daily life. This place was just about perfect. Secluded, quiet and delightful. We had great weather, but this place would be wonderful even in bad weather. It has a wonderful covered porch with plenty of seating and an amazing river stone fireplace.
We barbequed, played bocci ball (brought our own) and read. When we felt like it, we got in the car and explored the island. Lopez Island has a quaint little village town center with just about everything you need.
Shark Reef Point and Agate beach are beautiful areas to explore.
The log home is wonderfully decorated with antiques and art. The kitchen is great...just make sure you bring your own tin foil and such, they have everything else.
The bed is super comfy and you have a TV in the bedroom and living room with Dish. There is wifi, and free long distance. The bedroom has a deck overlooking the yard and in the morning deer came to feed on the lawn. The only thing lacking in the bedroom were blinds. It would be nice to have some type of window covering for sleeping in...night stands would be nice too :)
They have a hot tub, but didn't advertise it and it wasn't usable at the moment..would love to have had that though!
We really enjoyed our stay and hated to leave. Looking forward to returning again.
