The home is near the Pleasure Pier, the beach, Murdoch's and the restaurants around the Pleasure Pier. The Strand, Galveston's historic downtown, is 15 blocks in the other direction, or take the Seawall Trolley. No, it's not the real trolley, the tracks need to be redone after Hurricane Ike flooded the island.
This is the Seawall Trolley bus. It goes to the Seawall and then back to downtown. In either direction, the house is only a few blocks from where you can pick it up. The schedule is on the fridge. No, it's not free, but it's quite reasonable.
If one is interested in shopping; we have a new discount mall 17 miles away with wonderful shopping opportunities along with shopping downtown.
