ASPENGLOW IN JACKSON HOLE (PEACE OF MIND IS ALL YOU KNOW)

Wilson Condo Rental Photos and Description

Perfectly located between the town of Jackson and Grand Teton National Park, this 1 bedroom condo is best suited for one or two adults. It's an end unit in a four condo building, and it is always cool during hot summer days with lots of light and views of the mountains. A queen-size sofa bed is located in the living room. The condo has been renovated in the spring of 2012 with a completely new kitchen which features stainless appliances, quartz counters, mahogany cabinets, and a natural tile floor. The bathroom has new china sinks, w/d, and quartz countertops. The queen-size mattress is newly installed in August 2013 and has a gel covering over a firm Posture-pedic mattress and hypoallergenic plush mattress pad. The bed linens are 400 thread count sheets (Ralph Lauren/Hotel) and an organic duvet cover with a down comforter and cotton coverlet. The living room is decorated with beautiful artwork and a combination of western and contemporary furnishings. The Sony TV is HDMI (cable) and an accompanying Sony sound bar provides excellent acoustics. The fireplace is especially welcome in the winter months whereas in the summer months we love being out on the deck during the long evenings after we have recreated in the valley or returned from dinner at one of the great local restaurants within a few minutes walk. A large dining table comfortably seats four, and there is a counter with red leather barstools for eating in the kitchen. The location is perfect as there are tennis courts just outside the entry door, the bike path is adjacent to the Aspens, Teton Pines next door has world-class golf and tennis. There is a coffee house and market + deli a few minutes' walk from our condo, and we are only 4 miles from Teton Village where there is a famous summer music festival, hiking, restaurants, and a chance to paraglide or go up in a hot air balloon. And when you least expect it when you look out the windows, you may see a moose munching on blueberry bushes! World class skiing is just 4 miles down the road at Teton Village and cross country skiers have an abundance of choices of places nearby to ski (or snowshoe).

About Susan McKay

My daughters and I and our dog Aspen Jackson have been coming to Jackson Hole for decades. I have lived in Wyoming since 1966, and my daughters were born and raised here. I recently retired from the University of Wyoming where I was a professor for 35 years. We love to hike and bike and eat at the wonderful JH restaurants. Sitting on the deck in the picture is our summer delight as we watch the aspens quivering and enjoy this beautiful place. In winter months, the moutains are clearly visible from the condo.

Susan McKay purchased this condo in 1997

Why Susan McKay chose Wilson

The condo is beautifully decorated and so comfortable and convenient to everything. If you want a day at the pool or to work out in the gym, just walk to the Teton Sports Club. If you want to play tennis, just walk out the door! Want to bike ride? The bike path that winds through the valley is accessible directly from the condo. Feel like rafting or fishing? The Snake River is a few miles away and in very warm weather, people like to have picnics on 'Wilson Beach.' There is a nature area on the Snake River with long walks/runs for those inclined, and you will probably see at least one bald eagle. Want to shop or hunt for beautiful art? The town of Jackson is just a 10 minutes drive with an array of galleries and fine restaurants.

What makes this condo unique

We chose this property because we had rented in the Aspens for years and loved the location. When we first walked into our condo, we fell in love with its quiet beauty and the views (though the aspen trees have grown since then and the view is now best in the winter when the leaves are gone). Since then, we've made many

upgrades -- most recently in 2013.

What a great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5
My fiance and I stayed here for almost a week while visiting Jackson Hole and the surrounding area. We immediately fell in love with the condo! This place is stocked super well and I super appreciated the updated/modern feel of it. From the TV, sound bar, and the kitchen! My fiance looooved the selection of bath products that were already there (and totally not expecting). After a day of skiing it was great to make dinner and relax and watch movies/tv in front of the fire. The owner definitely has good attention to detail when it comes to providing a rental property and it shows in this little condo. My only complaint is that if you have noisy people above you, you'll here them. We only heard them really going up and down the stairs in their ski stuff and maybe just a couple footsteps (running child perhaps) but it didn't disturb our sleep or anything.

If we ever make it back to JH -- this will be our place!

The night we arrived we got 16inches of new snow! Fabulous weather and skiing and a beautiful place to spend christmas. A lovely comfortable condo with everything we needed. A great location for skiing and the park. Ten minutes to town. Good restaurants nearby. Would stay here again any time of year. Jackson is unique and breathtaking.

From Sunny Naples, Florida to Perfect AspenGlow Retreat

  • 5 of 5
This is my first experience in renting from VRBO, even though I manage 4 properties on VRBO in Naples, Florida. I have high expectations and this retreat made our stay in Jackson Hole perfect. Imagine that you plan your trip for months and then the National Parks are closed because of the government shut down. . .then, arrive at Aspenglow and approach the door of this charming condo and come face to face with a momma moose and her adolescent moose. Stand still and watch these two meander down the side of the property and start feeding on berries right outside the living room slider. That was it. No longer disappointed that the parks were closed. The condo is so well equipped that we simply walked to the nearby Aspen Market and brought "take-in" back to the condo, made a fire and enjoyed the view of the Tetons. Clean, crisp and everything you need to rest and relax in between your energetic jaunts out to see the sites. Don't miss this great opportunity! Perfect for two, but with a pull out couch, plenty of room for 4. We'll be back next year to add to the adventure and "see the parks too." Thank you S.M. for sharing this warm and cozy retreat. DD.

The BEST place to stay!

  • 5 of 5
We just came home yesterday from staying in Susan's condo for three nights. We have rented many properties on VRBO and this was undoubtably the BEST one ever! You can't go wrong here. Susan was very pleasant to work with and prompt with her answers to our questions. The condo was located in the Aspens development which was very quiet and accessible to the Tetons park and Jackson. It had a nice market within walking distance that sold lots of organic foods. The condo itself - very clean and nicely decorated. We have stayed in some that were "overkill" with stuff, but this property was just right. The kitchen looked to have been remodeled recently and had everything you needed to cook with (even though we didn't cook much). Susan provided all the little amenities one would need - detergent for the washer, soaps, paper products, cleaning supplies, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, garbage bags, firewood, etc. Nothing was needed. From the pictures attached to this site, it was exactly to the tee as shown. Susan was also kind enough to text us on our first day to see if everything was ok. That was nice and made us feel very welcome. Now if we had just seen a moose outside the door, our trip would have been perfect. I don't think she could have provided that, except the morning when we texted her back to let her know we had arrived, she gave us the time and conditions of weather (foggy) when the moose usually show up. We weren't there much, so maybe it came by while we were gone! If we had the money, we would just buy the place from her and live there forever. However, I think she loves it too and you can tell by the upkeep and updates. So, in conclusion, you won't go wrong with renting this lovely condo! Thanks again Susan for sharing your little piece of heaven in the Aspens.

Outstanding Home and Location

  • 5 of 5
This is an exceptional property in a prime location. The owner's pride in this newly remodeled condominium is evident as soon as you open the door. Clean, modern, quiet and well appointed, it offers everything needed for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. The location is just a few minutes from the south entrance to Grand Teton National Park and only a short drive (10 mins) to Jackson. There are also a number of stores and restaurants located close by.

Susan, the owner, was most helpful in answering my questions and providing information about the area. I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here on my next visit.

The condo is on the West Bank of the Snake River, between Wilson and Teton Village. Access to the Snake River is 3 miles away, and there is a wonderful nature area for long walks or bike rides. The airport is a 1/2 hour drive, the town of Jackson is 10 minutes from the condo, and the entrance to Yellowstone is slightly over an hour (depending on traffic). The Aspens is next door to Teton Pines and both residential areas have access to a market, sports club with pool, coffee house, small shops, a wine store, and a deli. The bike path goes by the Aspens and goes to the Grand Tetons Park entry going north or to Wilson going southwest. The path connects throughout the valley and also goes up part way towards Teton Pass.
