Overview

Wilson Condo Rental Photos and Description

Perfectly located between the town of Jackson and Grand Teton National Park, this 1 bedroom condo is best suited for one or two adults. It's an end unit in a four condo building, and it is always cool during hot summer days with lots of light and views of the mountains. A queen-size sofa bed is located in the living room. The condo has been renovated in the spring of 2012 with a completely new kitchen which features stainless appliances, quartz counters, mahogany cabinets, and a natural tile floor. The bathroom has new china sinks, w/d, and quartz countertops. The queen-size mattress is newly installed in August 2013 and has a gel covering over a firm Posture-pedic mattress and hypoallergenic plush mattress pad. The bed linens are 400 thread count sheets (Ralph Lauren/Hotel) and an organic duvet cover with a down comforter and cotton coverlet. The living room is decorated with beautiful artwork and a combination of western and contemporary furnishings. The Sony TV is HDMI (cable) and an accompanying Sony sound bar provides excellent acoustics. The fireplace is especially welcome in the winter months whereas in the summer months we love being out on the deck during the long evenings after we have recreated in the valley or returned from dinner at one of the great local restaurants within a few minutes walk. A large dining table comfortably seats four, and there is a counter with red leather barstools for eating in the kitchen. The location is perfect as there are tennis courts just outside the entry door, the bike path is adjacent to the Aspens, Teton Pines next door has world-class golf and tennis. There is a coffee house and market + deli a few minutes' walk from our condo, and we are only 4 miles from Teton Village where there is a famous summer music festival, hiking, restaurants, and a chance to paraglide or go up in a hot air balloon. And when you least expect it when you look out the windows, you may see a moose munching on blueberry bushes! World class skiing is just 4 miles down the road at Teton Village and cross country skiers have an abundance of choices of places nearby to ski (or snowshoe).

About Susan McKay

My daughters and I and our dog Aspen Jackson have been coming to Jackson Hole for decades. I have lived in Wyoming since 1966, and my daughters were born and raised here. I recently retired from the University of Wyoming where I was a professor for 35 years. We love to hike and bike and eat at the wonderful JH restaurants. Sitting on the deck in the picture is our summer delight as we watch the aspens quivering and enjoy this beautiful place. In winter months, the moutains are clearly visible from the condo.

Susan McKay purchased this condo in 1997

Why Susan McKay chose Wilson

The condo is beautifully decorated and so comfortable and convenient to everything. If you want a day at the pool or to work out in the gym, just walk to the Teton Sports Club. If you want to play tennis, just walk out the door! Want to bike ride? The bike path that winds through the valley is accessible directly from the condo. Feel like rafting or fishing? The Snake River is a few miles away and in very warm weather, people like to have picnics on 'Wilson Beach.' There is a nature area on the Snake River with long walks/runs for those inclined, and you will probably see at least one bald eagle. Want to shop or hunt for beautiful art? The town of Jackson is just a 10 minutes drive with an array of galleries and fine restaurants.

What makes this condo unique

We chose this property because we had rented in the Aspens for years and loved the location. When we first walked into our condo, we fell in love with its quiet beauty and the views (though the aspen trees have grown since then and the view is now best in the winter when the leaves are gone). Since then, we've made many

upgrades -- most recently in 2013.

Perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

Aspenglow is located in the perfect place to enjoy both outdoor activities in the Grand Tetons National Park and the shopping/restaurants/bustle of Jackson. The condo was clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood was easy to access. We made use of the Start bus service between Wilson and Jackson several times (the bus station is just a short walk from the condo). Our week at the end of winter still provided plenty of snow to ski on, but also allowed for warm, bright, sunny days to hike. Town is a bit quieter this time of year too. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice!

location

The location is great. Bike path walk to bus$1 to Teton village $3 to Jackson. Kitchen is fantastic. Bath tile needs some work m old and mildew issues. Need is very soft. Noisy when people showed up in unit above felt like i was in their conversation. The guys working next door were quieter yet could still hear banging of nails. View was nice. The decor is homey.

Owner's Response: I regret that these guests did not heed the information that I sent in advance about the bed having a down (removable) mattress cover. The mattress is almost new. All they needed to do was remove the cover under the bottom sheet, as I recommended, to lie directly on the very firm posture-pedic mattress. The bath tub/shower tile is being upgraded this spring -- I imagine my guests have not always turned on the ceiling fan so some damage has occurred from repeated humidity. This will be upgraded soon! As for noise, this condo is on the first level so sometimes there will be sound heard from others. Usually sounds are episodic and minimal.

A Perfect Week

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I love to visit jackson Hole in the winter. We found Aspenglow to be a great home base. The Aspens community is nicely situated out of town and very close to the Tetons. The condo itself was immaculately clean, the bed and couch were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. We also loved having the washer and dryer, the heater in the bathroom, and the toiletries in the shower. We would definitely stay here again.

A Truly Outstanding Place To Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Words don't adequately describe how wonderful Aspenglow actually is. All the very positive reviews are totally correct. My wife and I all had everything we needed at this one bedroom condo. Plus we had a moose visit right outside the bedroom window!

What a great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

My fiance and I stayed here for almost a week while visiting Jackson Hole and the surrounding area. We immediately fell in love with the condo! This place is stocked super well and I super appreciated the updated/modern feel of it. From the TV, sound bar, and the kitchen! My fiance looooved the selection of bath products that were already there (and totally not expecting). After a day of skiing it was great to make dinner and relax and watch movies/tv in front of the fire. The owner definitely has good attention to detail when it comes to providing a rental property and it shows in this little condo. My only complaint is that if you have noisy people above you, you'll here them. We only heard them really going up and down the stairs in their ski stuff and maybe just a couple footsteps (running child perhaps) but it didn't disturb our sleep or anything.

If we ever make it back to JH -- this will be our place!

Map

The condo is on the West Bank of the Snake River, between Wilson and Teton Village. Access to the Snake River is 3 miles away, and there is a wonderful nature area for long walks or bike rides. The airport is a 1/2 hour drive, the town of Jackson is 10 minutes from the condo, and the entrance to Yellowstone is slightly over an hour (depending on traffic). The Aspens is next door to Teton Pines and both residential areas have access to a market, sports club with pool, coffee house, small shops, a wine store, and a deli. The bike path goes by the Aspens and goes to the Grand Tetons Park entry going north or to Wilson going southwest. The path connects throughout the valley and also goes up part way towards Teton Pass.
