BEAUTIFUL HOME IN RANCH AT ROARING FORK!

Carbondale House Rental Photos and Description

Come relax at an amazing high end home while you Fish/Bike/Ski/Golf in the heart of the Roaring Fork Valley!

This custom 3BD/3BA home located in the amazing Ranch at Roaring Fork features high-end finishes throughout. Two spacious Master Suites each feature private bathrooms with stone tile and European glass showers and large soaker tubs. A third bedroom with two twin beds is perfect for an extra couple or for the kids. Marble tile and Alder hardwood flooring is throughout the house. Enjoy cold AC on hot summer days.

The Ranch at Roaring Fork is an angler’s paradise located right on Highway 82 approximately 5 miles from downtown Carbondale; 12 miles from Glenwood Springs and 30 miles to Aspen. The Ranch features 360+ acres of ***PRIVATE*** open space including two miles of river frontage on the waters of the Roaring Fork, 8 miles of Sopris Creek and other creeks and ponds on our property. In addition to the Ranch property, you are minutes from the Colorado, Frying Pan and Crystal Rivers--this is why Glenwood Springs is ranked the #1 fishing town in America. The Roaring Fork, known for its Gold Medal waters, holds beautiful trout, some up to 8 pounds, throughout its entire length. Additionally, nearby sections of the Frying Pan River below Ruedi Reservoir provide anglers with an opportunity to catch rainbow trout up to 10 pounds!

Your rental comes with two fishing badges. Please note that all waters at the Ranch (including the Roaring Fork River) are restricted to fishing with fly rod and fly reel, using artificial flies with a single barbless hook. While spin casting may be done off property, no spin casting or bait-casting rods are allowed on the Ranch. Artificial flies cannot be used on spin casting or bait-casting rods.

Miles and miles of trails and streams will provide you with hours of enjoyment of walking, running, hiking, or biking. Take a long walk down the river trail and spot a Bald Eagle patrolling the river or Blue Heron working the stream bank. Keep an eye out for other wildlife such as deer, elk, coyote, bear, beaver, and much more!

In addition to the beautiful private open space, the Ranch features a 9-hole Par 3 golf course that is fun for all levels of golfers and open to the public. Walk over to the course any time you choose, it’s only a few hundred yards away! Check in the golf shop for current pricing but typically 9 holes is only $20. If you want to play a full round of golf, there are several championship courses in the area as well.

Feel like going for a bike ride? You can stay right on the Ranch and explore the trail system, or head out to the Rio Grande Trail which you can take from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. If you want something a bit more challenging, there are countless mountain bike trails up and down the valley.

Tennis anyone? The Ranch features two sport court tennis courts, and the house comes with two tennis rackets for guest use. There’s also a basketball hoop in the tennis court area for our guests to enjoy.

For skiers, this home is an excellent location. You are only 30 minutes away from world class skiing at Aspen, Snowmass, Buttermilk, and Highlands. Why pay Aspen hotel prices when you can rent a full house for a fraction of the price? The Ranch is conveniently located on the local bus route if you feel like taking the bus to the ski areas.

The Roaring Fork Valley and the Ranch are special places, offering a little piece of paradise and a classic Colorado experience. We are happy to offer our home to you and know that you will cherish this place as we have. Enjoy!

Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5
We had a wonderful time and the house was comfortable, spacious, and beautiful. We have been coming the the Ranch at Roaring Fork for years, we own a condo there and we love the property. Our trip was a family reunion of sorts and we needed some extra room, and this house was perfect. Both the owners and the property manager were friendly and quick to respond to calls and emails. We also thought that this house was an excellent value.

A Wonderful Getaway Home

  • 5 of 5
The four members of my family and I enjoyed a wonderful 6 nights in this lovely home. It was clean and neat with plenty of room in which to move around. The kitchen was large and well designed and the dining room table was roomy for our evening card games. I especially liked having a full bathroom for each bedroom - no sharing! Two of my family enjoyed using the fishing passes and met several friendly neighbors in the process. I am a biker and was glad to find that an access point to the Rio Grande biking trail was fairly close by. Two other members of the family enjoyed their early morning walks on all the trails nearby. Two day trips included a jeep tour to Crystal from the Crystal River Jeep Company in Marble and a moose sighting at the beautiful Maroon Bells near Aspen. We enjoyed the recommended restaurant in Carbondale, The White House, which had delicious pizza and Italian food. The only negative I could even think of was that the driveway is a little difficult for backing out of the garage - too much of a curve, I think, but that is a very minor complaint. I would highly recommend this home for a relaxing vacation!

My Personal Thoughts

  • 4 of 5
House was very clean, everything worked properly. The switch for the garbage disposal sticks and is difficult to make work. The laundry was very nice. There is no fireplace which would be nice on cold nights. Having the garage was very nice. The location was as described. The photos were accurate.

All in all a good experience. I do believe the cleaning fee is too high. They want you to take out all the garbage, strip all the linens and even do a load of laundry as you go out the door. I believe the placed could have been cleaned and ready for the next renters in about two hours.

I also believe the rental contract/agreement is way too complicated (five pages) and will certainly scare some good prospective renters away. The owner did try and explain why it was so long. You have to identify each and every person (by name) that will stay with you or visit you before you start the rental and that is a bit over the top. I do not believe this is a rental for people with young kids.

Providing fishing badges was a plus.

I would recommend this rental to the over 55 crowd only. Too nice for a family with kids.

Owner's Response: We’re glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate the candid feedback. The cleaning fee is set with the average standard industry rate for a home our size. We do not require our guests to do the housework, but if they have the time to help with the transition upon their departure, we greatly appreciate it. As you mentioned, our property is immaculate which we feel is a direct reflection of the level of care we have for our home.

Our home suits a variety of guest profiles. We’ve received direct positive feedback from several folks on family vacations, business trips, and girls’ getaways; they tell us they thought our house and its’ location are ideal. As for children, we believe our home is kid-friendly since our own children are still very young. The common theme our guests and we enjoy is the love of the private fishing at the Ranch at Roaring Fork and all the activities the surrounding area has to offer.

If you’re considering staying at our home, know that we have a great commitment to our guests’ comfort. Any issues identified by guests are resolved immediately. Please feel free to ask questions before making your decision and know if you choose our home, you’ll have a first-rate property to enjoy with a highly professional, attentive local agent ready to assist you with property needs during your stay.

Exceeded Expectations

  • 5 of 5
Everything about this home and location exceeded my expectations. As to the home, it was remarkably clean; way beyond any rental I've used. Even the garage was absolutely spotless. Appliances, furniture, fixtures, etc., were beyond what you'd ever see for this price. The property manager, Mandy, checked in on us to make sure everything was okay, which was a nice touch. As to location, the amount of private fishable water was fantastic. It would take at least a week to fish all of the creeks, ponds and two private miles of the Roaring Fork. If you want to wander off property, it was an easy trip upvalley to fish the Frying Pan or head into Aspen. Carbondale was a pleasant surprise, and was only a few minutes away. I'll come back again, but this time I'd love to stay longer.

Great hime, great fishing

The house was very nice and clean, exactly as listed. Would have given an excellent rating except for the construction across the street which was no fault of the owner of course. Fishing was absolutely fantastic as well. Comfortable home and very well maintained.

The Ranch

  • 5 of 5
We had a lovely time at the Ranch. The scenery was beautiful, the fishing fun and tons of places to explore. Every morning we saw a bald eagle at one of the ponds! The house was well stocked and inviting. Cable was provided along with local calls. We used the air conditioner a few times which helped with the noise from Highway 82. We would suggest adding end tables and lamps in the living room. This community is very nice, Glenwood Hot Springs and Maroon Bells were twenty minutes from the front door. Thanks for providing a well appointed rental that has been well maintained. We would love to stay here again!
