Our family first started visiting Telluride almost two decades ago. From our first visit, we were captivated by Town's magical beauty, its friendliness, its fun festivals and the incredible ski mountain. Visiting Telluride, our family would always try to stay as close to the gondola as we could because it is the center of all the action in town, and in the winter, hiking back to a house or hotel was way too much work.
When Camels Garden Resort offered penthouses for sale, we immediately bought one and realized our dream to be in Town's center, next to the gondola, lift 8, and at the end of the Telluride Trail. In addition, Camels Garden Resort gives our family all hotel services, such as a very friendly front desk that makes restaurant recommendations and reservations, and daily housekeeping. We also enjoy the services on the first floor, a very short elevator ride away, which include valet ski/snowboard storage (bike storage in the summer), 'Atmosphere', a deluxe full service spa, 'Oak' a very good restaurant and lively bar and 'Telluride Sports' for all of our sports equipment and clothing needs.
When our family arrives in Town, we pull into the Resort's underground heated parking and take the elevator directly to the penthouse. From Camels Garden, everything is so close that our family walks everywhere. These strolls help slow things down and make our time spent in Telluride even more special.
