great house, great location

Two of my co-workers and I came for a conference in New Orleans last weekend and brought our significant others. We decided to rent a house so we could all stay together. This house was exactly what we had in mind! We had a really comfortable stay--the beds were great, everything was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils/dishes, etc. It was in an area with lots of cute stores, places to eat, bars, and beautiful New Orleans houses. The neighborhood was very walkable. The trolley toward downtown and French Quarter was only a few blocks away, so we had no trouble getting to/from our conference downtown during the day and to/from French Quarter to explore at night. It was good to have a place to get away from the crowds downtown/French Quarter at the end of the night, but we were close enough to be in the thick of it whenever we wanted (cab ride was never more than $10). It was the perfect place to come back to after walking/exploring/working. The owner was very easy to communicate with, and the welcome packet she sent a couple days before our stay had all the info we needed--and some great recommendations for places in the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this house to others.
