Perfect Romantic Get Away

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is NICE! My wife and I were looking for a weekend get away, didn't want to drive to far from home, this was perfect. The cabin is very comfortable, and to our suprise it came with everything a person would need to cook their own meals. We enjoyed the very relaxing hot tub, and the sauna was very nice also. They provide towels and robes, which was a pleasent surprise. We will be back again, hopefully to make this a yearly get away. The fresh coffee beans was also a great morning find! Only thing I wish I would of brought was a radio to listen to some music while relaxing in the hot tub. Overall this was the nicest cabin my wife and I have rented in the area.

Great place -- Great time

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights and really enjoyed the place. Hot tub was great, very nice cabin layout, great decor. We stayed in the loft King bed (very, very nice). Fully furnished including towels and spices!!. Very secluded (just need to know where you are going if arriving at night). Once there, easy to find once you know where the cabin road is.

TV and Dish worked great and there are numerous TV's

Cell coverage is very limited (US cellular) but at least there is enough coverage for emergencies if needed. Who cares about internet when you have this place to enjoy.

Spent time in Dubuque (little bit of a drive), Pikes Peak State park (must see park) ... otherwise just relaxing.

Sauna in basement is nice although it is only a dry one (no water to toss onto the stove).

We will definitely be back if our yearly destination takes us out that way.

Great Girlfriend Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Lifetime girlfriends very much enjoyed the beautiful cabin. Cool sun-filled days sitting on the wraparound porch and sitting in the hottub watching the trees change color before our eyes. We spent a day shopping at the cannery and gambling on the riverboat. Easy going and relaxing. Accommodations excellent. Christy was awesome in helping us get settled. Highly recommend.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

This cabin has everything that you need!! Very quiet and peaceful setting.

Beautiful and well equipped place to stay. We had a great time building a fire and roasting marshmallows, relaxing in the hot tub and just hanging out with family and reconnecting. This place has everything we needed for a family weekend. We will definitely look to come back here when we are back in the area.

Excellent Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We rented this cabin with another family for a long weekend. It was simply perfect. The setting is gorgeous and a bit off the beaten path from the city. While it is nestled in the woods, there is also plenty of green space for the kids to run around. The new play set was a welcomed surprise. The cabin was completely stocked with anything we would need/want (pots, pans, spices, blender, firewood, soap, tourist brochures...you name it). The cabin manager was very accommodating and friendly. We spent the days hiking Wyalusing and Pike’s Peak state parks, and looked forward to returning to the cabin each evening to relax. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone staying in the area; such a great value!

Incredible and so cozy!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I came here for a long weekend getaway. It was amazing! It's so secluded and the cabin is very luxurious for being out in the middle of nowhere. The trails around the area are fun to hike and prairie du chien is a cute little town. It was amazing coming back to the cabin at the end of the day to sit in the hot tub, lounge in the sauna or just lay on the couch reading. The cabin manager Christi was so accommodating and made us feel so welcome! There were no negatives to this stay, it was absolutely perfect!! We wanted to move in! :)
