The gite and cottage are situated in idyllic surroundings with breath taking mountain views. The 1.8 acre garden is planted with mature fruit trees and shrubs and runs down to the La Corbiere, a premier category trout fishing river. The 10m x 5m size swimming pool and garden are shared with the owners. Both the gite and cottage have their own sun terraces, offering the perfect place to soak up the sun.

The gite is centred around a spacious open-plan living area, with two french doors leading onto a terrace and large mature garden with trees and flowers. There is a very large comfortable sofa facing a wood burning stove, that is perfect for warming up after a day on the slopes. The open plan kitchen has a dining table for up to 10 people and looks out onto garden and mountain views.

La Hasta is a unique ski and pyrenean holiday venue, open all year round. It is on the sunny side of the Courbière Valley, at the head of which sits the 2000+ metre Pic des Trois Seigneurs. We can host up to 8 people in our gite and up to 3 in the cottage. In the winter La Hasta is the ideal base for mountain sports including skiing (alpine/nordic/backcountry), snowshoeing and mountaineering. We are close to the resorts of Ax-les Thermes, Plateau de Beille and the 282k of pistes in Andorra. In the summer we run holidays that mix adventure sport with yoga (alternatively you can just hire La Hasta and do your own thing). Our area of the Ariège is perfect for all manner of outdoor sports including rock climbing, hiking, canyoning, canoeing and cycling. At the end of the day you can relax by our 10 by 5 metre pool. Within easy reach of La Hasta are the Niaux cave (famous for its prehistoric paintings), historic cathare citadels, thermal spas and typical market towns.

Ski: Our nearest and favourite downhill ski area is at Ax-Les-Thermes. It takes 25 minutes to get to Ax and park up and then a further 20 minutes (including 5 minutes to put on your boots) to get up to the main resort via ski lift. Ax caters for all levels of experience, from long green runs to some really 'interesting' black runs. There is plenty to keep you going for a week. There are many local options for hiring skis... We can help with arranging ski hire and can negotiate a discount for you. Slightly further afield, though still within easy reach, is Andorra... As well as having duty free status it has 282 kilometres of pistes. If you want a change from the pistes then there is the always the local snowsports centre at Plateau de Beille... Which offers lots of opportunities for playing in the snow... Nordic skiing, sledging, snowshoeing, dog sleighs... All with an absolutely wonderful view of the high pyrenees mountains.
