A HGTV Designer provided most of the furnishings and colors in this house. The bathroom is brand new and offers a walk in shower. The bathroom is period correct with the tile work and white granite counter top. Wall attached hair dryer provided.
New plumbing was installed which provides fresh tasting Grapevine Water without that “Old” mineral taste from most older homes in Grapevine. No metal pipes here, PEX piping provides flavor like the Springs.

Play it safe by not driving or walking long distances after enjoying your days at many Wineries, Festivals, and award winning restaurants along Main Street.
Don't miss a ride on Grapevine's Vintage Railroad traveling to Fort Worth's Historic Stockyards for an unbelievable feel of the old west. Enjoy a leisure ride on the Grapevine Tour Bus and Grapevine Wine Tour Bus or grab a famous Esparza’s Margarita on your journey to Main Street (which is only four houses down), or stroll back to Doc Holiday's house after an encouraging pitcher.
Safely park your vehicle in the driveway and leave it for the rest of your stay. No need to drive when you can walk to the fun vineyards and events in town. Grapevine is a fun, exciting, and safe place! Enjoy!
We love to travel around the world and only utilize VRBO (or similar) services versus hotels. We finally decided to make the leap and offer our special property to travellers with similar needs as ours. This is not our full time job but rather a conduit of enjoyment. I (Rik) juggle many different things. I have been involved in Telecommunications for over 25 years. I also restore 1969-70 Shelby Mustangs with a NASCAR team to bring a unique and limited vehicle to the road. The 'Better' half (Wife) is retired from the airlines and currently manages the house and our two daughters along with a few other properties that will hopefully become VRBO's some day (Pending the outcome of this treasure...). This is our first stab at this so your feedback is very important.
The 'Historic District' within Historic Grapevine is where “its” all happening. No question that all the action is within the Historic District and the 'Doc Holliday' house is smack dab in the middle. Have you ever heard the phrase, “6 Degrees of Separation”? Well this story is more like 2 degrees of separation. I purchased a home from an older lady years ago whom was born and raised in Grapevine. She has since passed and would be pushing 100 if still alive. During the closing process of the house transaction, she noticed my name (Richard Holliday). She asked me if I was, “Kin” to Doc Holliday. I explained that I was and went through the story...She then shared with me that her aunt owned a house and rented a room to Doc Holliday for two months. She put me in contact with the current owner of the house of which I approached (They didn’t know the story) and I asked them if they had an interest in selling. They contacted me months later as they decided to move out West. The transaction was complete and I now own a house that my Great Great Great Grandfather slept in.

1 Block to Historic Main Street. There are no other properties or hotels closer than this gem. We are also located the closest to a wine tasting studio which is two houses down. Easily hop on/off the Wine Tour bus and explore 7 vineyards. Esparza's Tex Mex cafe is known as the, 'Margarita Capital of Texas', so be sure to walk up four houses and try a few of your own. Main Street is loaded with a bunch of cool eclectic shops and outstanding eateries (Non big box types).
