Good value BUT has flaws. Huge place and not too far from the subway. Central location makes trips all over the city within a reasonable subway or cab ride. If you're looking to have your group in one place, instead of being in multiple hotel rooms, this is an option. Good value, but a small investment from the owners would go a long way (see below).

The mattresses on all three of the fold-out couches were very old, nasty and would not lay flat. They should be thrown away. We had our sons just sleep on top of the couches during our five night stay. Most of the pillows were stained and old. I was tempted to just go buy new pillows for everyone.

The towels in the apartment were threadbare and stained. And there were no hand towels or wash cloths. We called and asked for new towels and noted that there were no hand towels or wash cloths. They delivered more bath towels while we were out the next day, and they were clean, but they still did not provide hand towels or wash cloths.

One of the legs on the nightstand in the front bedroom isn't attached, so if you bump into it, it collapses, sending the lamp and anything you had on it crashing to the floor.

For a place that's supposed to sleep 12, there were only THREE bowls in the kitchen. Seriously.

I don't mind buying toiler paper and paper towels for a rental, but there was no soap in any of the three bathrooms. So we bought three pumps of antibacterial hand soap and left them behind (you're welcome). And again, there were no hand towels.

The mattress in the front bedroom should be replaced. I didn't ask my sister about one of the mattresses, but I heard the mattress in the master was fine.

The large couch in the living room should be replaced (it's coming apart)

Again, a relatively small investment would turn this into a great rental.

The furnace is very loud, but once it kicks on, you get used to it. However, the heating system or ductwork makes unusual noises at all hours in the front bedroom - it sounds like a a metal flap opening and closing repeatedly. It's very loud - I'm a heavy sleeper and at least once a night it would wake us.

I would still recommend the property IF I were sure that they had replaced the fold-out couches, replaced some or all of the mattresses, replaced all of the pillows and had clean linens and towels (including hand towels and wash cloths.
