We live in Phoenix, Arizona and love to travel the world. Siesta Key is our home away from home and favorite beach spot on the Earth.
Gina Laubham purchased this cottage in 2000
We loved the location, so close to the Village shops, restaurants, and beaches. We rarely use our car when we stay here because of the close proximity to everything we come to Siesta Key for.
We love the small, cozy feel of the cottage and how easy it is to take care of.
The cottage was perfect for our stay. We were a block from the main bar scene of Siesta Key and two blocks from the beach. Bed was super comfortable, kitchen was more than adequate for some brunch cooking, and we didn't even make use of the bikes or beach stuff that was available.
Excellent location in the heart of the Island business district. Well maintained home with access to all the locations needed to make the stay enjoyable.
Beautifully landscaped on the outside with plenty of room to sit outside on the enclosed lanai. Well furnished with chairs, umbrellas and couches. Inside, the cottage was clean and newly remodeled. We appreciated the large flat screen tv in the living room and the flat screen also in the bedroom. It was so cottage cute and we found everything we needed including bikes (a real plus). This place is close to everything and yet you feel a sense of privacy, we would definitely stay here again.
The cottage was pretty sparsely furnished with necessities. When we arrived, it was raining pretty hard and the roof was leaking into the family room and bathroom. Luckily it didn't rain the remainder of the week. The bed was extremely comfortable - that was probably the nicest part of the cottage! Compared to other properties in Siesta Key, this property is average.
This is a very nice cottage to rent if you want to be close to the village and beach. The cottage had everything you could want including beach chairs, beach towels, beach toys beach umbrellas and bikes. All of which I appreciated. The living area, kitchen and dining area are an open concept, with the bedroom separate, along with the bathroom which is connected to the bedroom. It was clean and nicely decorated. The only negative and I did not consider it a huge problem, was the fact that the cottage faces the back of the stores on main street. Actually, the beautiful landscape helped to shield that somewhat. The owner is very helpful and easy to communicate with. Nancy and Ron are a very nice couple and will do everything they can to make your stay pleasant.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It was neat, clean, and had most of the basics. The property managers, Nancy and Ron, were great! Answered all our questions and Nancy even got into her car and led one of our visitors to the closest emergency services when he was injured. Thanks Nancy!
