2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, walk-in closets, beautiful backyard.

Casa Verde Retreat is a 1400 square foot, 2 bedroom, residential home located in the beautiful Village of Oak Creek in Sedona. The street location is very quiet and friendly neighbors to greet you. The nearly 1/3 acre property includes a beautifully landscaped backyard perfect for peaceful meditation, reading, relaxing or just a nice backyard BBQ. Plenty of cool shade in the summer.

There is a large, spacious living room with an open view of the large mulberry tree in the upper patio portion of the back yard and a peak-a-boo view of Bell Rock. The dining area includes a high back table with seating for 6. The king-size master bedroom includes a Southwest walk-in shower and walk-in closet. The guest bedroom includes a high-rise queen bed with adjoining walk-in closet. Kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking amenities you'll need including Sola-Tube ambient lighting over a breakfast nook. Garage and laundry conveniences included. Wireless internet, satellite TV, mini-office armoire including laser printer. Unlimited Netflix and YouTube viewing on high definition TV.

Casa Verde is located just minutes from shopping, golfing, mountain bike riding and easy, leisurely hiking. Plenty of outlet shopping and a short drive to down town tourist attractions.

Plenty of driveway parking and free Red-Rock Adventure Pass for your vehicle. Casa Verde is located at the beginning of the famous highway 179 that winds its way into the spectacular Red Rock forest.

About Margaret Cunningham

We purchased this home in 2010 as both a vacation home and an important asset to our lives. We come to the Village about 6 times a year to enjoy our home and make sure it is always in perfect condition for our guests. We are both Engineering professionals living in Orange County California and we love Arizona hospitality so very much!

Why Margaret Cunningham chose Sedona

We wanted a real home. Not a resort condo or an expensive mansion. Just a down-to-earth residential property with character. We were interested only in the 'VOC' as it is the more peaceful side of Sedona. Our neighbors (see picture) are awesome and we always have so much fun. We are all good friends.

What makes this house unique

Our property has a very unique backyard landscape that was originally a custom designed by previous owners. We turned it into a desert theme adding stone and pebble accents. The very large, 70 year old mulberry tree offers lots of shading during summer. The birch trees on our side property are stunning yellow in the Autumn. Several months of the year, the monsoon weather in the afternoons cool the property and really bring out the spiritual, fresh scented side of Arizona.

Can we stay here forever?

My mother and I were on vacation from Ontario, Canada and if wishes came true, we would stay here at Casa Verde and not go back! (But maybe bring the husbands down too!!) So relaxing - a home, not just a house... beautifully furnished, with every amenity for comfort. Seeing Bell Rock and Castle Rock from the garden every morning, taking walks around the quiet neighbourhood - better than the photos can show. We'll hope to return in future.

Great stay in Sedona

We had a great stay in this lovely house. The location of the Village of Oak Creek is quiet and serene (compared to Uptown or West Sedona). There is plenty of room here with a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable bed in the master. When it cooled down at night, we warmed up with the wood stove in the living room. Very close to wonderful hiking trails.
The owner is very responsive and was a pleasure to deal with. We look forward to future stays.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Beautiful house, perfect location for walkers/hikers/bikers

We had a wonderful time in Sedona, and Casa Verde was just perfect. It is a lovely home, beautiful, and so peaceful and comfortable with a big shady yard. We very much appreciated all the considerate "extras," too (the Red Rock parking passes, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of outdoor furniture, written instructions on the lights etc., wonderful beds...I could go on and on! Obviously you have put much care and thought into every part of your home.)
My only regret is that we did not have more time.
As for nearby activities, we would recommend Cucina Rustica for fine Italian dining (in the Village of Oak Creek, walking distance to the house) and Page Springs winery (about 30 minutes drive west of Sedona).
We would recommend Casa Verde wholeheartedly, and the owner was very prompt in responding to all of our (many) questions ahead of time.

Very peaceful and beautiful

The house is beautiful, the kitchen is new and very clean. The backyard landscaping looks like a resort and I could see Bell Rock! Everything is nice. The neighbors are friendly and shops and restaraunts are within a few minutes walking distance.
