Photos and Description of the Folly Beach vacation cottage rental

This home is one of the original Folly Beach cottages. There are three bedrooms(1 queen, 1 full, 2 twins). 1 bath. Nice open floor plan. Heartpine wood floors through out. Screened in front porch. Nice back yard.

The location of this home sits in a nice, quiet part of the island.

It is close to everything you want access to at the beach. Only 300 steps to the beach. Two blocks to walk down to Center St. where all the restaurants, and shopping are on the island. Folly Beach Park is for the kids is within walking distance too. Tennis courts/Basketball court there as well. Bert's grocery market is within walking distance too.

This home has the charm of the Lowcountry. Very comfortable and cozy. Home surrounded by palms, and a trophy live oak.

This part of the island is also great for biking, or renting a golf cart while you are here. Enough room to park a boat on a trailer in the back yard. Up to 20' or so. Public boat ramp only 3 blocks away.

The Historic District of Charleston is only 20 minutes away.

About Lee Swing

I moved to Charleston, SC from Wilmington, NC. I went to school at UNCW and graduated with an Environmental Science degree., and fell in love with the coast. Ended up in real estate. Working for real estate for developers, it has taken me, up and down the coast from NC, to FL. I met my beautiful wife in Charleston, and we are now living in the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the city of Asheville raising our family.

Why Lee Swing chose Folly Beach

When i first moved to Charleston, i rented a home on Folly Beach. It had such a great, laid back feel, unlike other beaches that i have lived before. The home i had rented, had a similar location to 303 E.Huron, close to center st., and a short walk down to the beach. When i was shopping for a home, those criteria were very important. I also love trees, and the old mature palms blowing in the breeze was also a very welcome sound to me. There is a trophy live oak(huge canopy) that is very indicative of the south, that greets you as you pull in to the home.

What makes this cottage unique

The walk down to Center St. is relaxing as you take in the scenery, and before you know it, you are in the middle of all the shopping, and great places to eat. The Folly Crabshack is a favorite for local seafood, or for twist, go to the new Taco Boy restaurant. A walk on the pier after dinner for ice cream is a given. The location is what you will like about this home, convenient to everything, but on a quiet street on Folly. Also to drive to downtown Charleston from here is very scenic, and only 20 minutes away.

Shopping at the Market in the Peninsula of Historic Charleston/Battery/Carriage Rides/walk streets South of Broad all only 20 minutes away, Plantations close by, Angel Oak, Waterpark in Mt. Pleasant, Morris Island Lighthouse on Folly.

we rented this property for a week in april, 4/13/13 to 4/20/13, and were extremely pleased. it is a very warm, welcoming cottage, and the owner is a pleasure to work with. very short walk to town and to the beach. beds are very comfortable and linens were a nice quality. nice neighborhood, not noisy at all. we have been coming to folly since 2004 and have rented houses each time and would definitely count this as one of the nicer and would like to rent again. the cottage has everything you need, especially a washer and dryer, which is top on my list of needs. also it is on one floor with no stairs to get in and out. many of the houses of folly are elevated and would be difficult for some people.

This 3 bedroom charmer has more room inside than you would think. There are original hardwoods floors flowing though out the home and arched doorways, giving it so much character. The beds are comfy! . The home is inviting and roomy. The owners have done a wonderful job updating, yet keeping the house in it's original state. My husband and I visit folly a couple of times a year and we realize this is a definite great value! Thanks again to the owners, we did enjoy our stay!
