Chalet Coquelicot was built in 2008 in La Tzoumaz, Verbier. It has 5 bedrooms, 2 with king size beds and the others with twin beds. All the bedrooms are luxrurious and fitted with Egytian Cotton bedlinen. It has two bathrooms (one en suite) and a shower room. The Sitting room, kitchen and dining area is open plan. It is light and spacious and is beautifully furnished and has a fire place, plus internet access. The dining area is situated in a bay window. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher.There is an additional sitting area/play area upstairs on the mezzanine. There is a television/DVD with bean bags and a table with many games and cushion seating. It has a lovely terrace with garden seating to admire the incredible views. Washing machine and dryer. The chalet is located 250 m from the bus stop and an easy walk to the shops, restaurants etc. There is an option to have delicious meals cooked and delivered to the chalet all prepared for you by the superb chef who lives next door.

La Tzoumaz is a fairly small ski resort with excellent facilities. A new high speed gondola lift and also a chair lift near the nursery slopes. There is an excellent ski school and nursery slopes for children to learn to ski safely in an enclosed area. There is a great communal pool and sauna plus an ice rink. Access to Verbier and 4 Vallees

skiing is simple. Skiing in La Tzoumaz itself is wonderful and it home to the La Luge (10 kilometres long). The facilities in the village include a great supermarket where you can buy everything. Bank, laundry, tabac, pubs, restaurants, nightclubs (winter only) excellent ski shops. The ski bus is always on time. A car is not essential but is useful for bringing home the shopping. It is an easy resort for non skiers who wish to go up the mountain.

There are many things to do from here apart from skiing and winter sports. There are wonderful thermal pools just twenty minutes away by car. Many historic and interesting places to visit. Golf in the summer months in Verbier which is possible to drive to over the mountain the summer months. Mountain Biking, Riding, fishing and endless activities for children and families. It is a resort suitable for adults and children.

La Tzoumaz is a year round, family friendly village with good traditional restaurants and bars, supermarket, post office, patisserie, boucherie, ski hire shops, swimming pool and fitness centre, children's playground, ski school, kids club and creche. In winter, take the high-speed gondola to Verbier and the fantastic 4 Valleys ski area with 400km of piste and fabulous moutain restaurants. Something for everyone, from the snow park to snow shoe trails, 10km luge run, iceskating and helisking. In spring and summer, enjoy the excellent, well- marked walking trails and mountain biking tracks, amongst the wonderful alpine flowers. The gondola remains open for a quick assent to the top of the mountain. Relax in a mountain restaurant and take in the festivals and markets with their delicious local produce. Also available locally are fishing, paragliding, horse riding, and golf. La Tzoumaz is an ideal base for exploring the wider Valais region, only 10km from the motorway at Riddes.

Rental Rates for this vacation chalet rental in La Tzoumaz, Switzerland

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • A deposit of 350 CHF is payable to the managing agents at the time of arrival to the chalet, to cover electricity charges (the meter will be read at you time of arrival and departure). It is also to cover breakages and extra cleaning costs (charged at 50CHF per hour). A 25% non returnable deposit is payable at time of booking. The remaining payment is due 2 months before your arrival date. You are required by Swiss Law to pay 2CHF per adult per night and 1CHF per child per night of your stay. This is payable at the tourist office.
  • I am prepared to be fairly flexible on rental dates during the summer months and possibly at other times. The ski lifts are open daily for July and August.
  • The managing agents for the chalet live next door and will give you keys to the chalet upon your arrival. They can also provide wood for the fire should you wish to use the fire. This is to be ordered at time of booking and is payable locally with them. If you wish for them to cook dinners for you please let me know or arrange it with them at time of arrival. I can email you a list of menu suggestions. A car is recommended and a 4X4 suggested for the winter months.
