Minorca:
Minorca is divided into two different halves. The North, has an uneven and rugged coastline with sparse vegetation and numerous islets and reddish sandy beaches. The South is made up of calcareous rock, is flat and has smooth cliffs, gullies sculpted by water and coves of white sand surrounded by pines.
The island's climate is typically Mediterranean and is well known for its mild temperatures. The average annual temperature is between 16º and 17º centigrade. In summer, the average is 24ºC.

Lovers of the sea have a wide range of activities open to them, from swimming in any of the coves on the island to specific activities such as windsurfing, sailing, water-skiing , fishing, sailing or scuba diving. There are also boat trips around the island and trips to the main points of interest on the coast.

Minorcan cuisine is totally Mediterranean, based on natural and fresh ingredients from the land and the sea.Fashion jewellery is most notable. Also, footwear manufactured in Minorca, is known world-wide for quality and design: the 'avarca', an ancient and simple sandal for people who worked the land. Pottery, hand painted fabrics and furniture restoration are other craft activities of importance.
