GLITTER BAY 305 'OCEAN VIEW'

We have just returned from our second stay at 305 Glitter Bay, and this year was probably better than 2011. We were much more geared up this year, and with the fantastic help of Marilil Troulan had some food and wine delivered before we arrived, so it was all put away and ready for us!

305 hadn't changed, and it was nice to walk in and be so familiar with everything. We had asked for a couple of extra things to be put in the apartment this year which were happily provided. It is a great location in the complex, on a top floor (there is a lift), fully air conditioned with a teeny view of the ocean and the lovely gardens in front. The grounds are impeccably kept.

This year we used the gym quite a lot, which is air conditioned and has more or less everything you would want. We went in the mornings and invariably were there on our own.

The beach is probably the best, a lot of people walk along the edge of the water, and most of the hotels have narrow beaches so you are quite close to everyone passing by. At Glitter Bay it is wide with the sun loungers set back from the water. It is very peaceful.

Yes, you do get a lot of vendors passing by as it is a public beach, but all you need is to say no and they don't bother you again. You will see many of them selling their wares, which means there is obviously a demand from tourists so you can hardly blame them for trying!

Glitter Bay is perfect for jumping in a cab to go to Holetown in the evening, its not far. There is also a supermarket and a deli which you can get to by taking the bus from outside the entrance.

All in all, we couldn't recommend 305 highly enough
