Photos and Description of the Manteo vacation condo rental

This two bedroom, third floor condo features a master bedroom with its own private bath, water views, and access to the deck. The second bedroom has twin beds that share the hall full bath. Completely furnished with all amenities included. You have towels, linens, plates, silverware, and all cooking utensils. The combined living/dining room has cathedral ceilings and is open to the kitchen. Central air will keep you nice and cool. Since you are on the third floor, you will hear nothing but the gentle breeze and water lapping at the private dock.

Off the beaten path, but still close to amenities, you are within walking distance to the Elizabethan gardens and the Lost Colony. A short drive, and you can see the Wright Brothers' Memorial, Kill Devil Hills, and Rodanthe.

A short drive to the quaint town of Manteo gives you access to great restaurants, unique shopping, and breathtaking water views. A long established fishing village, you will find treasures of all kinds. If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of commercial tourist traps, then this is the perfect spot for you! A relaxed pace, friendly locals, and an abundance of nature provides you with all you could want.

You can see the Wright Brothers' Memorial from the back deck. You can walk to the Elizabethan Gardens. The Lost Colony gives you live theater telling the story of an early English settlement that mysteriously disappeared. Some of the best big game fishing is to be had here, as the Gulf Stream comes within 20 miles of shore. You'll find an abundance of Tuna, Rockfish, Mahi Mahi, and many other species to bend your rod in half!

Waterfront dining abounds, or you can even buy your seafood right off the boat! This is truly a vacation spot that promises to let you unwind and rejuvenate your spirit!

Condo that fells like home !!!!

This Condo is the best kept secret in Manteo. It has a great view from the sound and it's very clean. I took my wife and two children and we had a ball. It is 10 minutes from the ocean. The sound view was great and it's very quiet. I would stay here anytime.

Quiet, Quiet, Quiet!

We really enjoyed our stay. Yes the photos are all accurate. The only noise we heard the whole week was from a couple of wonderful late evening storms that we enjoyed watching coming over the water. The unit is clean and well appointed and the owners are very helpful. It is a great base of operations for all the sites mentioned in the VRBO write up. We cycled every day . . . even visited the open Lost Colony stage in the morning. We would go back in a heartbeat.

The condo was very clean and comfortable with very nice views. The private dock was a short walk away and was very peaceful. Would highly recommend to anyone, very satisfied.

Looks just like the pictures!!

The condo was clean and nicely decorated with big windows in the living room and the master bedroom overlooking the water. Upon arrival it was very clean and all setup for us. It has a fully equipped kitchen washer dryer two bedrooms and two baths. Even had a telescope there overlooking the water..

I had never rented from vrbo before (or any rental by owner) so I was slightly nervous, but the owners are super nice and set my mind at ease. They also own an organic soap company and included some really nice soaps when they sent us the keys. They were very responsive and even spent over 30 min on the phone with me telling me about all the different things to do on they island and in outer banks in general..

The condo building is somewhat secluded, so it's great for relaxing and just taking in the view. I went with my girlfriend and we spent a couple days just chilling out in the condo just happy we were away from the city and work etc.. The water in the backyard is the sound (bay) and it's clean and not very deep great for kayaking or just taking a dip. It's very close by is the Elizabeth gardens and the Lost Colony theater both of which were very nice and we were able to walk to both of them in about 10 min. The main little town of manteo is only a couple miles away which is walkable, but it was so hot we drove. You have to drive across a bridge to get to the outer banks beaches (nags head etc..) but it only takes about 10 min by car.

If you're interested in renting jet skis I highly recommend doing a tour of the sound. We did 1.5 hour tour which took all through the national seashore area. It's so much better than being restricted to small area. The place we went is right across the main bridge if you're going east towards nags head on the right hand side you'll see signs for jetski.

Overall the condo was great so much nicer than some random hotel room. I would recommend it for couples/families and we would definitely rent this place again.
