Austin Studio Rental Photos and Description
If you come to Austin, you will likely spend most of your time outside the house. So rent this quaint, cozy little studio in the heart of the Zilker area and save money to spend on activities! The studio (meaning no separate living room) is located on the ground level of a stone triplex built in the 1940s. It has been completely renovated and boasts fresh, natural materials, including stained concrete floors and countertops, painted stucco walls, and restored wood windows that let in loads of natural light. The studio is surrounded by a large, private patio with lots of shade and seating.
You can rent the studio to sleep a total of 2, or you can combine it with one or both of the other units in the house to sleep a total of 4 or 6. Too see the other units, please type their listing numbers in the VRBO search bar: 450977 ('Treetop Suite') and 442385 ('Urban Hideaway').
All 3 units have clean, crisp linens, quality furnishings, and original art. Our WiFi connection is good, and the patios are a great place to enjoy the quiet of an established Austin neighborhood only five minutes from downtown and the SoCo district, and walking distance of the South Lamar (“SoLa”) district.
We offer bikes for you to explore the many things to do within walking or biking distance from the house. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, check out the greenbelt along Barton Creek or Barton Springs Pool--each about a mile away. If you are looking for great food, you are just around the corner from the iconic Matt's El Rancho and the fabulous 'Restaurant Row' on Barton Springs Road. Walk to the ACL music festival or enjoy live outdoor summer theater at Zilker Park. Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Zilker Botanical Garden are beautiful places to explore and picnic. At the end of the day, dance to live country music at the locally-famous hole in the wall--the Broken Spoke. Or check out the HighBall retro bowling alley/karaoke bar and neighboring Alamo Drafthouse Cinema--uniquely Austin experiences.
If you want to venture outside the neighborhood, we're also close to the University of Texas and the Highland Lakes just west of town. We are happy to recommend things to do and places to see.

We are a husband and wife team that loves old houses. We were each renovating our own 1940's era home when we met. Since then, we've acquired two additional homes and had four children. We love spending time with both--keeping the houses in great shape for years to come and keeping the kids busy and fed! One of us is a native Austinite and the other has been here since 1995, so feel free to ask us anything you want to know about Austin, and we will try our best to help.
