The house is located in Ontario less than a mile from the Quebec border and less than 20 min from the Island of Montreal and less than an hour from Downtown Montreal, and about an hour from Ottawa.
It sits on the St Laurence Seaway on Lake St Francis, it's very beautiful! We sit in a bay.
The lake is like a little sea with its hues of greens and blues.
From our home you can see the pointe of the Quebec border and the Adirondacks, Mount Titus, Lion Mt...
The location couldn't be more perfect.
There is also a 3 boat boathouse,with plenty of docking area too
If you want to just relax, its so peaceful with more than 350 feet of waterfront, or go for a swim in the summer, the water is so clear and the bottom is all sand, not gooey like northern black lakes. The depth go's from 3 feet deep at the base (swimming ladder) to 5 feet at the end of the dock, where you can take a dive. The lake is renowned for its great fishing too, from Perch, Bass, Dore,... Just for fun you can put your line in the boat house and pull out a fish within a min. The kids love that.
If you like festivals like our famous Jazz and Blues it's a quick drive to Montreal. Take the express train right downtown from Dorion 20 min drive?
Same if you want to go to New York State it's a 45 min drive to Massena?
There's so much to do or not!!!
Our home is a beautiful 3 bedroom 3 full bathrooms 1 with a jacuzzi. It sleeps 9 with 2 pull outs with room to spare...
The kitchen is a chefs kitchen, with work station and 2 separate sinks.
Breakfast can be eaten there, as it has a little dining room right in the kitchen and another table in the dining room that can sit 10 with our extra chairs. The bedrooms are separated as such.
2 on the main floor and 1 upstairs private from the others, there is a pullout in the upstairs living room and a pull out in the master sunk in living room. There are 2 fire places one in the dining area and in the master living room.
