What an idyllic location for a truly unforgettable holiday. Lying near the mouth of Mahon harbour, you will find Villa Gloria sitting peacefully on the edge of the waterfront, blessed with its jetty. No need to drive a car on this holiday. At a small extra charge you can use the motor boat (seats 7/8) that lives in the boathouse below to explore all that Mahon Harbour has to offer by day or night. What heaven to arrive at a waterside restaurant by boat and know that you can return without having to drive home! The spacious roof terrace has spectacular views over the harbour and has its own covered newly refurbished kitchen. The jetty is suitable for ribs or boats up to 15ft to be moored alongside. The sparkling swimming pool, which has under water lights, overlooks the harbour. The sea water in front of the house is wonderful to swim in or if you would like a large sandy beach you only need travel 3kms to Cala Mesquida. The house is situated at the end of a dead end road so is peaceful

What is there to do?

With a little notice it is easy to charter a large powerful speedboat for wake boarding, etc., or sun seeker/sailing boats. You can fish in the harbour. There are quality tennis courts 10 minutes from the house at the Malburger Sports Centre. Other local activities including riding, go-carting and Son Parc Championship golf course, only 20 minutes from the house. There is a wonderful Museum and beautiful old fish market, the local produce is mouth-watering.

Menorca has recently completed its historic bridal path - “Cami de Cavalls” - which quite literally runs around the entire island. This offers a superb opportunity for horse riding, walking and cycling around some breathtaking and varied coastal and countryside routes.

For those who don't know Menorca, compared to Majorca it is a smaller island is less built up and has managed to retain its own charm. You can explore any of the 120 sandy beaches - it is an enchanting shoreline with innumerable coves and inlets in which to snorkel and fish. Wonderful undulating green countryside, quaint and quiet villages, unspoilt market towns, sweeping sandy bays, with an unhurried tempo that pervades the unspoilt island.

It is also a very interesting island with a big history and many archaeological sites of interest to explore. And what better way to start exploring the Balearic Island than its idyllic capital Mahon. An historical town perched on a hill overlooking the ancient harbour has the distinction of being the largest natural harbour in the Mediterranean. The town itself is lively, yet at ease with itself, with a tangible colonial feel alluding to a time of British occupation in centuries gone by. Mahon will inevitably beguile you with its small town charm, but not without its many heavenly boutiques.

Menorca was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

Golf: Golf Son Parc is a championship quality course, ideal for beginners and experienced golfers alike. The course is both challenging and picturesque. It is located just a few hundred metres from the award winning Son Parc beach on the north coast of Menorca . Around the course are wooded hills and a protected wet zone with a rich variety of bird life. In the distance are views of Monte Toro, Menorca 's highest point.

The course was designed by Dave Thomas Golf Ltd. Dave is the ex Ryder Cup player and designer of many top courses worldwide, including The Belfry courses & San Roque on the Costa del Sol.

And we still have that very special feature of Golf Son Parc Menorca - a flock of peacocks who live just behind the third green. They are always happy to share their home with golf and we hope they add an extra touch of colour to your round.

Rental Rates for this vacation house rental in Sant Antoni, Spain

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

    Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. I am happy for the rates to be paid in Euro too!

    Please note that the rates for the house are the same as that of last year and they might go up or down at different times in the year, in consideration to the financial up or down turn! I am also open to negotiation... depending on what time of the year it is and how booked up the house is!

    At a small extra charge you can use the motor boat (seats 7/8) that lives in the boathouse below to explore all that Mahon Harbour has to offer by day or night, Level 11 power boat certificate is also required.


    Small refundable damage deposit on the house and boat.

    Deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking and the balance is due 6 weeks before arrival.

  • The charming kitchen has a teak table seating 10, dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric cooker and oven. It has a roof covering it but opens onto the roof terrace which is large enough to hold a party of 20 easily. As a family we live in this area. The whole area can be closed with an awning if there is a wind. The is also a really good cook in Menorca who will come to the house to cook for you should you wish. Some guests bring a cook and put her/him up in a nearby small apartment. Apartahotel Calla LLonga.

Notes: The sun room runs the width of the house with glass sliding windows which open onto the harbour, this room has 2 sofas, an armchair, a large table which seats 12 comfortably it also opens onto a patio at the far end. Living Rooms: The large cool sitting room has 2 new 3 seater sofas and 2 arm chairs. It also enjoys an open fire place for the winter, with flatscreen 40in TV, DVD surround sound. *SPECTACULAR HOUSE*

This property is absolutely beautiful; it's your chance to experience the Mediterranean at its best!

This is a spectacular house set in a position so beautiful it takes your breath away. We were lucky enough to stay at Villa Gloria for two weeks this summer!

Every attention to detail has been given to this spectacular house by Lindy Branson, in making Villa Gloria comfortable and her warmth and hospitality shone through. Lindy, also happens to be a professional interior designer.

Taking the boat for our stay just was the cherry on the cake! we hardly ever had the need to go in the car, that is what I call a real holiday. It was so special returning from a night out at the water front restaurants across the harbour, to the jetty in front of the house. We also did all our food shopping by boat, mooring the boat by the old steps and walking up to the market in town.

The house was better than we expected. The photos were not deceptive, and if anything did not do the property justice. The house has great character. It was clean, well maintained, beds, linen, appliances, and amenities all great. The pool, patios, terraces are private and were great to relax around.

The couple managing the house was always charming and on hand to help us when we needed them, nothing was too much trouble.

Menorca itself is a lovely place, so unspoilt and interesting to explore, perfect for all ages. It is very easy to get around and the house is in a great location only a short drive into the wonderful small town of Mahon and to all the supermarkets and shops, but at the same time is tucked away from all hustle and bustle.

We would highly recommend this unusual house to a friend, and will most definitely be retuning in the near future!

TRULY WONDERFUL HOLIDAY

This was our first time in Menorca so didn't know what to expect - what can I say - we have just spent 9 days in "paradise" the villa is stunning and just in the most fantastic position with incredible views over the harbour, your every need is catered for - we'll definately be back!

The most amazing 50th birthday

I rented this fantastic house with some friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. We were all totally delighted with what we found on our arrival. The pictures hardly do the house and view justice, it was every bit as special as it looks in the photos. The house is very comfortable and very well thought out for every occasion. Lindy and her managers looked after us really well too.
