Snipe Barn is situated on an old farm in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds and is set in private grounds of 15 acres overlooking a nature reserve. It is a delightful contemporary barn conversion that is simply ideal for groups of up to 11 persons. The old Cotswold stone wall enclosure and oak gates to the front of the property makes it a haven of tranquillity. The covered barbecue and landscaped courtyard garden make it a wonderful entertaining space. The glass front to the property matches the light open plan interior and makes the most of the sun that streams into the living space. The feature fireplace with wood-burner, plasma TV, state of the art kitchen and very spacious bedroom accommodation all go towards making Snipe Barn irresistible.

    Short Breaks:
    2/3 night stays @ 75% of weekly rate.
    4 nights @ 85% of weekly rate.
    Pets will be considered on application at £50 each per booking.
  • Security Deposit of £200 is required refundable 7 days after departure date.
    Payment is accepted by bank transfer or by cleared cheque.
    The reservation deposit is 33% of the rental rate and the rental balance is payable 35 days prior to the start of the rental. The security deposit is payable with the rental balance and is refundable 7 days after the end of the rental period.

  • All the bedrooms have been lovingly restored. Each with are high vaulted oak beams and quirky lighting. The family bedroom has a large double plus a single and a cot can be provided. And it is en-suite. Bedroom 2 is another double en-suite plus has wonderful French doors leading out onto the courtyard and patio. Bedroom 3 is a double and Bedroom 4 is a twin room. Plus there is a large and excellent quality sofa bed in the living area.

The magnificent fireplace, vaulted oak beams, stone floors and open-plan living area make it a wonderful choice for family gatherings, parties and corporate retreats. It can also be booked with another barn (Owl Barn) to accommodate parties of up to 23! Plasma TV with freeview plus wireless internet access are installed throughout. There are 4 luxurious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, plus a sofa bed in the living area. Guests have exclusive discounted access to the Retreat Spa and golf course at Witney Lakes and local attractions include Blenheim Palace, Cotsolwd Wildlife Park and a great coffee shop at Aston Potteries just down the road! It is a magical place for a family get together, relax and re-charge the batteries or have a party or reunion with friends. Nearby there is the famous Trout Pub at Tadploe Bridge which sits a mile or so away on the Thames Pathway - you can walk there and well worth a visit !

We had an amazing weekend at the Snipe Barn, was perfect for what we were looking for - a base to do some long walks in the sunshine, to chill out over the bbq, play some cricket, all whilst catching up with a bunch of friends.

Everything is in a lovely condition so it felt very homely, and well equipped with all the essentials you could need.

Would definitely recommend others to book and experience it!
