I have been fishing here in Steinhatchee for over 24 years, and started scalloping about 8 years ago. I love to come here to relax and fish, it is a very peaceful place to come. I am a self employed contractor, and live in Atlanta, Georgia.

Great location and very peaceful and serene. Very easy access to the boat ramp, fishing, and scalloping.

Steinhatchee is known as a Sportsman's Paradise and is Famous for Scalloping during the summer months. Scalloping is fun, easy to learn and very rewarding as 'Bay Scallops' are great eating - most people consider them a delicacy.

Stereo speakers on front porch, , Cable T.V's in both bedrooms with queen size beds. The little deck in the back is old,please walk in the middle of walk way,great for star watching but no lights you need a flashing have fun and be careful,thanks.

The Hideaway lives up to its name

My family had an excellent vacation all thanks to the clean, spacious accommodations provided at the hideaway. It was close to everything but felt really secluded and safe being up in the treetops. We hope to return next year.
