I grew up in the suburbs of Vancouver and am self-employed as a contractor/builder. I spent the last five years working as a project manager for a non-profit organization in Haiti engaged in community development. Since returning to Canada last year I decided to move to the Island as I love the outdoors.
I spent my childhood summers in Deep Bay and decided move here in the spring of 2012. I love the people, the lifestyle, and the outdoors here on the Island. I engage in fishing, sailing, hunting, and backpacking, and this home is perfectly located in a prime area for doing all these activities and more. My plan is to reside in this home during the fall, winter, and spring of each year and it will be available for rent during the summer between June 15 and September 15 as I live on my sailboat during these months.
I decided to purchase this home because of the uniqueness of this beachfront property and the home itself. The property is extremely rare with views from both the inside and outside of this home being unobstructed and stunning from both front and back. The home itself allows for privacy while resting, and a main communal living area where everyone can be included in the experience of living here. I love being able to walk around the house (inside or out) and see the ocean from anywhere I'm standing.
My husband and I rented this beachfront home on an introductory offer. We found the description of the property accurate. Although, words cannot express the beauty of the view out every window. We spent our days sitting on the huge deck gazing in awe. It is a wonderful place to unwind and regroup, The home sits right on a level beach and recaptures the late 60's in decor. It is small and cozy, yet meets all of one's needs nicely. We found it clean, with quality matching bedding and towels.The kitchen we extremely well equipped and organized. Paul, our host, was very helpful and available to answer all our questions during his almost daily visits to the home. The nearby activities are perfect for the fishermen, boater and outdoorsman. Although there is limited night life in the area, the stars put on quite a show at night. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants to escape the city and enjoys peace and quiet.

Deposit of 50% of Rental Rate due with signed rental agreement to confirm a booking. Balance of Rental Rate and the Refundable Damage Deposit due no less than 30 days from check-in date. Bookings confirmed within 30 days of check-in date require full payment of Rental Rate.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (CAD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
