Galiano's Off the Green is a true island getaway, overlooking the golf course, surrounded by 3/4 acre of cedar trees and lush green foliage. Off the Green is centrally located - walking distance to restaurants, entertainment, grocery stores and a beautiful beach. A short drive will take you to one of the Southern Gulf Islands' best beaches at Montague Provincial Park. The multi-level decks and patio give lots of space to entertain or just to sit in the sun, read a good book or watch the many varieties of birds at the bird feeders. Hummingbirds have called Off the Green their summer home for 4 years, and seeing them fold their tiny wings and eat at their feeders is not to be missed. If you are very quiet you will see deer wandering freely about the property. Oh - and did I mention we have a hot tub? Great for night-time star-gazing! Do you have tickets for the 2010 Olympics? Rent my 1 br waterfront condo situated in the heart of the city of Vancouver before or after your stay!

About us: The master bedroom, at one end of Off the Green has its own bathroom, a large stone fireplace, TV and cosy window seat overlooking the green scape and hot tub. Next door is the book and video library with doors that open onto the deck and the hot tub. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are at the other end of the house, along with a large bathroom with 2 sinks, tub and shower. As in any good country home, Off the Green's bright, cheerful open space living/dining area with wrap-around picture windows looks out over the back and side gardens, bird feeders, and the golf course. Curl up on one of the two comfortable couches and enjoy the fireplace, stereo or watch one of the 200 movies(!) from the video library. The kitchen is well-equipped and great for family entertaining - inside or through the sliding doors onto one of the decks (with gas BBQ) or patio below.

on the golf course: The Galiano Golf Course is a beautiful 18 hole with dining facilities(in the summer) - the only golf course on Galiano - and it's open year round. Stroll down the hill from the house - we're right near the clubhouse.
