Two Bedroom, One Full Bathroom Duplex, approx 792 square feet, behind UC Berkeley Stadium, close to Campus, in the Berkeley Hills with S.F.and Bay views. Lots of natural light, fireplace, and newly refinished hardwood floors. Located within walking distance of hiking trails and open space, with breathtaking views of the the Bay Area. Non-smoking.
About Larry Kaplan and Marie Champlin

Born and raised, living most of our lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, attending local schools and universities.

Why Larry Kaplan and Marie Champlin chose Berkeley

We both have traveled extensively throughout the world, only to find that our property is located in a world class location with picturesque views of the East Bay and San Francisco, within walking distance of hiking trails in open space of the Berkeley Hills, affording 360 degree views of the San Francisco Bay Area. Our home is located in a very quiet and serene location, consisting of 1960's Mid-Century and Bohemian architecture.

What makes this house unique

The home has southwest facing views, and decks towards San Franciso and the Bay, constructed almost exclusively of wood interiors and exterior. One experiences such a feeling of serenity and joy looking out over the natural and Bay views, with its dramatically everchanging scenes from sunlight to fog!

Located within 15 mi of downtown San Francisco, 30 mi of Muir Woods, Muir Beach, Stinson Beach and Mt. Tamalpais, 48 mi of Point Reyes National Seashore, and 40 mi of Sonoma and Napa Valley Wine Country.

The apartment was lovely and the owners were very nice and great to work with. The balcony has stunning views of the bay and is furnished with a lovely patio table and chairs. There is a washer and dryer available which is very convenient. The only small downside to the place is that the neighbors are a little noisy. Overall, the stay was great!

Amazing views and great location

I was a Dutch post-doctoral researcher at UC Berkeley. I lived in this beautiful apartment with my husband for two years. We loved the amazing views of the bay bridge, downtown San Francisco and even Alcatraz and the golden gate bridge, straight from our huge deck! Panoramic hill offers direct access to great hiking/running trails and shows a diversity of wild life. It is for example not uncommon to see deer from the deck. UC Berkeley campus is within walking distance and having 2 bedrooms was great for our guests from overseas. We had an awesome time in this fantastic place!
