Our villa is a detached, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, property situated on a quiet road in Fresnaye, Cape Town. We are about 20 - 30 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. The main living area is on the first floor to take advantage of the views and sunshine, while the 3 bedrooms are on the ground floor where they remain cooler. There is a double garage at street level. We do keep our own car in it, but there is plenty of room for another vehicle, and also street parking. There is a terrace and 'braai' (barbecue) at the front, which has views to the sea and Robben Island. At the rear of the first floor is the terrace which has a lovely view towards the 'Lion's Head' mountain. The property is managed for us by a friend who has a holiday letting business, and who lives locally, so she is always on hand if there are any problems, and we have an excellent alarm system which is linked directly to a response company.

Our villa is in the area of Fresnaye, Cape Town, which is situated under the 'Lion's Head' mountain, between Sea Point and Clifton. Fresnaye is renowned for being sheltered by the mountain and is affectionately known as 'Wind Free Fresnaye'. We are very close to the centre of Cape Town, Table Mountain, The Waterfront, Camps Bay, and you can see the famous Robben Island in Table Bay from our terrace. We feel that our villa is ideally situated for those guests who want to be based in Cape Town to enjoy its many attractions, its fabulous resaurants, and beautiful scenery, but who would also like a base from which to travel easily to the Winelands, Cape Peninsula, Garden Route, Little Karoo, West Coast etc. For those who want to keep fit (other than by walking up the mountain!) there is Sea Point open air swimming pool within walking distance, a branch of 'Curves', and a Virgin Active Gym closer to the City Centre.

Notes: We have small plunge pool really just for cooling off in the very hot weather. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. A separate small office with WIFI Internet connection, and printer Our domestic help lady, Gloria, comes in once a week (Thursdays), at our expense, but is willing to come in on extra days by arrangement with our guests.
