Not so adventurous but love to walk, you can take either guided tours or self guided tours through the town and parks, the fresh air and the beautiful gardens will rejuvenate your spirit and while you stroll along the streets follow your nose to the plentiful blossoms that perfume the air ! Any time of year is pretty to get out and walk in this town!

The kitchen is equipped with the basics and you can use the bbq/grill even in the winter!
The house offers two bedrooms, one with a queen and a set of twins and the other is a queen bed so this makes it perfect for families or couples get-away. The bathroom on the upper level is a tub/shower combination with lots of space to bathe the kids. Or for you to relax in the whirlpool tub! The kitchen and dining area are connected. The huge family room has a gas fireplace, electric piano and walk out to the back patio. So this is great space no matter what the weather. Outside is a covered patio that leads into the pretty and secure fenced in yard. Perfect for kids of any ages to run around and play!
The main floor offers the laundry and a 2 piece bathroom close to the kitchen so everything is handy. If you have to do laundry while you’re on holiday, at least it is convenient!!
The very private and very large fenced in back garden and patio area is perfect for relaxing with that special bottle of wine. Are you tired after your days adventures but the kids are still raring to go? Give them a ball or let them play tag in a big secure back yard and let them burn off all the energy - especially after they’ve been for an ice cream or checked out Chocolate FX in St Davids!!

About Janet Trogdon
We fell in love with Niagara-on-the-Lake a long ago, it was our favourite destination when we newly married and care free. We came to enjoy the wineries, theatre, history and the old world charm. This was our spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of big city life. As time went by and we became parents it became a place we enjoyed sharing with our children. They loved the parks, the hiking and of course, the ice-cream shops! It is a place to build memories and share in special moments. Now the kids are in their teens and we still love to come, but not as often as we'd like. So please enjoy our home-away-from-home for us! We love to hear your stories so please post your special moments to the VRBO section under Artist's Cottage. We will jealously read them all!
Why Janet Trogdon chose Niagara-on-the-Lake
Through the years we have come to treasure the historical gems of Niagara-on-the-Lake. With an artistic eye, we could see that history of this town in our vacation home. We purposely wanted to provide accommodation that we, as a young family, couldn't find -comfortable, private, well located and affordable. We were also a growing family, so we needed a place that was spacious inside, a kitchen big enough to cook in and keep an eye on the kids, but also a big family gathering space because we love game nights and music nights – especially in front of a fire place on a cool autumn’s eve!. We also were looking to the future and wanted to be close to the shops so when the children were older, they could easily walk or bike everywhere. Walking to the local grocer was a must because we like to leave the car parked ! The other thing we wanted to make sure we had was a big back yard where the kids could kick a ball and run around to exhaust themselves while we kicked back and relaxed. This home was an opportunity to own and preserve a little bit of the old town Niagara-on-the-Lake!
What makes this house unique
Artist’s Cottage is definitely a place to kick back and relax. Leave your worries behind and pretend you live like a local. Walk everywhere, you can park your car for your entire stay if you want. Your feet or a bicycle is the best mode of transportation in this town! Walk to the grocer, the local cheese shop, the wine store, baker and you have all the best of ingredients to make the perfect meal on the bbq/grill or in the well equipped kitchen!
Available all 4 seasons, we are an excellent choice. In the spring, summer enjoy the spacious back garden and patio area, in the cool evenings in the fall and winter, cozy up in front of the fireplace! There is lots of room to be inside and out and never feel on top of each other, but still feel connected!
While we made this a very comfortable and inviting vacation home, we did not go over the top with renovations. That is for two reasons, the main one being we wanted to keep it affordable to a family or for people to come and enjoy the town like we did as a young married couple or as our parents do in their retirement. The other reason is to keep the home true to its historical origins. While we have TV’s, wifi etc - all necessary for vacation rentals. We also want you to enjoy the electric piano and the guitar so that you can build the kind of memories that last a life time. Live in the moment and share it with the people you treasure most – Artist’s Cottage is waiting for you!
