This is a very bright, comfortable and cozy 40 m2 flat located in the old west part of Reykjavik, 10 min walk from the downtown area in a quiet residential neighbourhood. One bedroom with king size double bed, one smaller room with single bed, kitchen/living room and bathroom. The flat is on the top floor of a 3 floor building with sloping, wood-panelled ceiling. Perfect for an individual or a couple although it could sleep 3. Bank, convenience store, cinema, bakery, pharmacy, thermal swimming pools, gym and more all within a 4 min walk.

Car: not necessary
Centrally located close to the University and the National Museum, only 10 min walking distance from the downtown area. Convenience store, ATM, banks, bakery, petrol station, restaurants within 2-5 min walk as well as one of the best thermal pools in Reykjavik. 5 min walk to the seaside at Aegissida which is a part of Reykjavik's most popular recreational areas. In the other direction, towards the harbour and the central part, you'll find loads of restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, museums, galleries and other tourist attractions. 3 minute drive to the domestic airport as well as the Central Bus station.

Meine Frau und ich hatten hier im Juni/Juli eine schöne Zeit.
Die Dachgeschosswohnung ist in neuwertigem Zustand und soll weiter ausgestattet werden.
Wegen der engen, steilen Treppe zum 2. OG und der niedrigen Dachschrägen und Türhöhen eignet sie sich für rüstige und nicht zu große Personen. Die Badewanne bedarf einer gewissen Gelenkigkeit.
Im Wohnzimmerbereich gibt es ein bequemes Sofa für 2 Personen.
Der Fernseher empfängt ein Programm, weather forecast auf Textseite 131. Wer Filme sehen möchte, sollte DVDs mitbringen.
Das große Doppelbett ist sehr gut. Ein Einzelbett als 3. Schlafmöglichkeit befindet sich in einem 2. Schlafzimmer.
Ein Parkplatz gehört nicht zur DG-Wohnung, ist aber normalerweise in Hausnähe zu finden.
Die Vermieter sprechen gut Deutsch und sind eine freundliche Familie mit Kindern, korrekt, hilfsbereit und unaufdringlich. Auch unsere Nacht-Ankunft um 02:00 Uhr war kein Problem.
Ein gut sortierter Supermarkt befindet sich in Schrittweite. Wohltuend und erholsam waren für uns die Ruhe in der Wohnung und die Nähe zum Meer wie auch zur City. Den nahe gelegenen Cityflughafen haben wir nie gehört.
Wir können diese Ferienwohnung gerne weiterempfehlen.
