2000 sq.ft adobe w/2 bdrms and 2 baths -sleeps 4 + 1000 sq.ft casita - sleeps 2

What comes to mind with the words 'New Mexico' ....'gorgeous skies'? ....and 'Taos'?...... Maybe: open space , sun and light , color , inspiration YES!!! All of the above...... and much more. All can be enjoyed from our home - both indoors and out.

Our 3000 sq. ft home is made up of 2 units: the first one is our main home (2000 sq. ft.) which has a large master bedroom (king-size bed) with full attached bath and cozy kiva fireplace; a second bedroom/study with a single bed/couch (a trundle bed that makes up into 2 twins or converts to a king-size bed) with attached bath and separate shower, and a large open space -kitchen/dining/livingroom w/another woodburning kiva fireplace. There is also an attached sunroom w/passive solar heating to enjoy a sunny winter day at home. During summer and Fall, you'll probably always spend you time out doors - either enjoying the many outdoor activities that Taos has to offer (although close to town, we're right on the edge of Taos canyon for some great hikes), or just enjoying a barbeque on the 'portal' or sunset margaritas in the gazebo.

The second unit is a 1000 sq. ft casita - one bedroom, bath, kichen and living/dining room with it's own private courtyard.

About Gloria Galecki

After growing up in the Chicagoland area and finishing university in Kansas, Gloria's adventurous nature led her first to a jaunt in the Peace Corps in Africa then, finally settling in Rome where she met LIno, her partner, a native Venician. Gloria welcomely volunteered when Lino expressed an interest to see more of the USA, .... leading them to Taos for the first time in 2002.

Gloria Galecki purchased this house in 2009

Nice and Quiet

We arrived in Taos for a New Year's Eve trip ski getaway. This was a wonderful choice for an accomodation! Just a few minutes drive to the plaza for dinner, and only 20-30 minutes to skiing. My husband and I traveled with his parents. There was more than enough room for both couples- 2 full baths, and plenty of room with the beds. The home had true Taos charm, with the southwestern adobe style throughout. And it was very relaxing and quiet. The owner was even nice enough to allow us to bring our 2 dogs, who we hate to leave behind. It was a beautiful home, and we lucked out with the snow- fresh powder both days! We will be visiting again.

Unique vacation hideaway

This Taos hideaway is a perfect get-away property for a couple. It is very private, secluded and comfortable. My husband and I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the property to friends.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
