Lefkada (Lefkas) Vacation Rental villa: Sivota

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Villa Penelope in June 2009. The location and quality of the accommodation were excellent and we highly recommend both the villa and the resort.

In particular, we would highlight the spacious and comfortable rooms in the villa and the high quality and very stylish fittings and furnishings. It is without doubt the best accommodation we have stayed in during many years visiting the Greek Islands.

The exterior was also delightful and very well laid out with lovely gardens and an excellent swimming pool. The sunbathing areas included high quality furniture and sunbeds. There are beautiful views from the sun terrace across the bay towards Sivota, where the constant activity from visiting and locally based yachts provides plenty of interest.

There is small but attractive and safe bathing beach just below the villa, accessed via stone steps from the sun terrace.

The resort of Sivota is not large, but it is very pleasant and well established and there is a lot of interest and activity in the yacht harbour. There are a number of very good cafes, tavernas and bars within easy walking distance of the villa and, although there are plenty of places to visit on the island, it is not necessary to drive to access good food and entertainment in very nice surroundings.

For the more adventurous, there are beautiful walks in the surrounding hills with superb views across to Meganissi and beyond. It is also possible to hire a boat and visit other bays resorts.

We very much appreciated the warm welcome from the owners and excellent service from the local team who looked after us during our stay.
