We had a wonderful stay at the Casa for 4 weeks this summer. Mum, Dad, 10,8,4 and 5 month old boys and granny for 1st two weeks. The booking process from beginning to end was the most professional and easiest ever. Predeparture pack left nothing to chance, directions etc perfect. The information folder in the Casa gave a wealth of valuable info on locality, menu tips and tour advice and recommendations. The Casa was very clean, spacious, plenty of room for 8, a real home from home. Great kitchen with laundry area, very well equipped for large family, all rooms extremely well equipped to a high specification, some paddle raquets and toys for kids and SKY TV, delighted Cot and highchair were available and underground parking. Very safe in a gated community. For Sun lovers the Balconies were great, finished your swim in the Lifeguarded pool, relax by the pool or relax with a glass on one of the supplied loungers on either balcony. Some lovely meals were eaten on the spacious gated patio. It was only 7 minutes walk to delightful reasonably priced bars, ice cream parlours, shops, cafes and restaurants. The beautiful sandy beach was a 10 minute walk and was very clean and had plenty of showers. There is a beautiful 30 minute nature walking route alongside. There were also nightly stalls selling lovely scarves, ethnic clothing, sweets, handmade toys etc along the beachfront and some bumper cars, bouncy slides etc. Other restaurants, Large supermarkets and shops in nearby towns were reached between 5 and 20 minutes in the car.The Lifeguarded pool and paddle courts were great for the children and a lot of the local restaurants had play areas alongside or in front were you could eat, drink and keep an eye on the children. There are plenty of playgrounds for younger children nearby and football pitches for nightly matches with other tourists or the locals! We took trips to lots of nearby towns Cartaya, Punta Umbria, El Rompido and went to Seville for a day that took 90 minutes including time to park. We went to the Caves in Aracena which took just 2 hours well worth the trip.
The setting of the Casa was very relaxing and tranquil yet lively enough for us and the children. The town was busy, people eating, chatting, children playing, never a bothersome crowd or any nuisance. Upon return i have recommended the casa to everyone. Familys, Girlies, Couples.I think it suits everyone whatever type of holiday. We feel we really found a gem in Nuevo Portil and the Casa.
