We stayed in Birch Street for a long weekend and had a very pleasing stay. The house is lovely and well maintained. Very clean and lovely furnishings. There was a lovely welcome basket with some yummy foods in too which was perfect after a long journey there. We will definitely return to the house if ever we're in Suffolk again - a perfect place to stay!

If you are looking for a charming house with all facilities, this is it ! We were wondering what we would find behind the door and were pleasantly suprised by space, beautiful living area, garden where breakfast was taken. This ancient house has been renovated with a lot of taste, thanks to the owners, very welcoming and helpful. Food at the local pub is perfect, the village is pretty and calm. I've already recommended the place to friends !

Cosy Character Cottage in a Lovely Village

hilfer55 Norfolk
Review Submitted: November 9, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We have just spent a weekend in this charming cottage. It's brimming with character yet has a modern feel inside. Nice, well equipped kitchen with the added benefit of underfloor heating.
We appreciated the little extra touches, plenty of reading material, extra tealights, logs and paper by the fire and a generous welcome hamper.
The owners have thoughtfully left details of their favourite restaurants and how to find them. The local Inn (The Anchor) is well worth a visit. The food was yummy and the prices very reasonable.
We all enjoyed our stay so much we hope to return next year to explore more of this part of Suffolk.

Lovely cottage in a charming village

Review Submitted: November 6, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
As two very pregnant ladies we were looking for a relaxing weekend in a comfortable cottage and this property was perfect. The two main bedrooms were lovely, the kitchen had everything we could need and the cosy lounge (complete with open fire) had a great deal of use. The basket of goodies was a really lovely touch and very much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.

Fairytale cottage

Review Submitted: November 4, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
Charming ancient cottage in beautiful historic village. Comfortable and with a very friendly atmosphere. Loved the log fire and little garden. Very family friendly, equally good for a romantic getaway or people wishing to escape city life and connect with the countryside. We also went on an amazing local walk which we managed with a buggy through fields and meadows. Expect this house will be lovely in all seasons.
