Perfect Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5
This was without a doubt the best family holiday we ever had. We stayed for two weeks in August 2014 and we'll be talking about it for years to come.

The house itself was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, television with all the channels and a great gas barbeque.

The garden backs onto the beach so we literally had picnics every lunchtime which the children adored. Our oldest went to the Surf School and really improved her technique and confidence. The younger ones preferred canoeing or just swimming in the beautiful clean sea water.

We ate out in the local pubs as well as in lovely restaurants in Arklow, Gorey and Wicklo town. Everywhere was within a short driving distance.

This is a real find - we were so chilled out and relaxed after our holiday. I can't rate the "Little House" highly enough.

"..we are the famous five...", what a fab holiday

"..we are the famous five...", what a fab holiday

We had a great time in Brittas and the Little House was beautiful. It has a huge front lawn for games, but the fun really starts around the back. It is like stepping into a famous five story. The kids had a ball exploring the dunes and spotting the countless rabbits. The beach is gorgeous, and because the access to the beach is private and quite a bit away from the public access points where people tend to gather, some days we had almost half a mile of beach to ourselves.
The house itself is lovely, quaint and fun, like a holiday home should be. We found Iverna very helpful and very generous and we would definitely go back again.

The Little House

  • 4 of 5
We stayed at the little house in July this year with family visiting from overseas. With 4 adults and 4 children there was adequate sleeping space with 2 double rooms and 2 bunk rooms. The grounds surrounding the house are beautiful with the back garden leading onto Brittas' famous dunes. A separate BBQ area, with gas, within the back garden is a nice touch with plenty of patio furniture to seat everyone. The kitchen is definitely compact but has all you need and the living room has an open fire for those Irish summer evenings!
Overall the property was very clean and although the house is small, with the gardens outside there is plenty of room. Iverna was very helpful with our last minute holiday booking and we'll definitely be back.

We loved our few days there and the kids are asking to go back and with no "entertainment" laid on that tells you all you need to know!

Idyllic beachside location

  • 5 of 5
We stayed in this lovely house hoping for a relaxing peaceful time and we couldn't have chosen a more suitable property. The setting is ideal, beautiful private gardens to relax in and then if one feels like it, just a few steps away from the beach and the most wonderful views, An early morning or late evening walk along this magnificent strand is a must, although anytime of the day is good. The house is surrounded by the lush green landscape of Co. Wicklow yet it is just a short drive to Wicklow town with all the amenities. It is also a comfortable drive to Dublin with a very good road all the way. We were able to drive up, meet some friends for lunch, see the sights and the shops and be back down in our Brittas Bay haven by dinner time. The best of both worlds. Highly recommended.
