Brittas Bay is a famous beach with 4 kms of Blue Flag beach, it is accessed right through our back garden, enjoy a refeshing swim at any time................or for a real Brittas experience run through the dunes in the rain and dive into the sea you will find the seawater amazingly warm.. watch the rain drops splashing around you......duck down again into the warmth of the sea then race for home laughing!
For the adventurous there is a new Surf School just a minutes walk from our beach house, new members welcome!
The local shops and pubs MacDaniels and Jack Whites Inn are all within easy reach.
A few minutes drive away is the 'Romany Stone' offering a wide range of freshly produced food. ,
Wicklow town offers a range of ethic restaurants,
Hunter's Hotel in Rathnew, an old stage coach inn now famous for its afternoon tea and more formal dining.
ThePark restaurant in Arklow is also highly recommended.
Marlfield House in Gorey is a Blue Book, award winning restaurant .
Eddie Rockets American Diner in Arklow Bridgewater Shopping Centre , the classic kids experience following the late morning movie where kids go for fee & adults go for free.
Nearby the Arklow Bay Spa and Leisure Centre, provides a swimming pool and all gym facilities.
Golf is hugely popular with the world famous European Club just a few kms away; Woodenbridge, Arklow & Blainroe
and Druids Glen and Druids Heath are all close by. While Powerscourt, the K club, Portmarnock are worth the drive!
Historic houses & sites including Russborough which housed the famous Beit art collection, Kilruddery, Mount Usher & Powerscourt with its five star hotel Gary Rhodes restaurant), are all easily accessible.
