This unique property is situated in a private property of 10ha, just 45 minutes from Faro airport & 20kms from the beautiful Algarve beaches, in a rural but not too remote area, nestling in stunning countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of the coast, for those seeking peace & beauty & tranquility to enjoy one’s enchanting holiday. The Farmhouse has been tastefully restored in keeping with old Algarvian charm & a contemporary feel with modern facilities to provide a very high standard of country living and comfort. There is a delightful sun-filled living room with Satellite TV, DVD, CD player and a large selection of books. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. The bedrooms are spacious light and airy and furnished with high quality beds. All the doors & triple glazed windows have screens to keep the bugs out. Outside by the pool there is a BBQ area and outside furniture ideal for enjoying your meals and a glass of excellent Portuguese wine. Here is truly heaven on earth!

M. da Serra offers a wide variety of special nights of food & drink festivals and often has regional dance and music, where all the locals come along to enjoy the festive. S. B. Messines with supermarkets, local shops, bars, banks, post office, and regular food fairs and markets where you can buy local produce of fresh fruit & vegetables and fresh fish and meats. The Historic town of Moorish Silves, once the capital of Algarve, is only 25mintues drive, where the famous beer and medieval festivals are held annually by the ancient castle. Some of Algarve’s legendary fish and traditional Portuguese cuisine restaurants are also in this area. Algarve’s most spectacular beaches as well as the west coast and the beautiful old cities of Tavira, Tomar, Lisbon, Porto, Fatima, Batalha and many others are easily accessible by car. Spanish Seville in only a two hour drive away.

Peaceful paradise

The villa provided exactly what we were looking for - a very peaceful location where you really could get away from it all. A total contrast to the hustle and bustle of the coastal resorts, although they could be reached quite easily by car.
A hire car is essential as the villa is about 2km away from the tarmac road (be prepared for a dusty ride!)
The kitchen was very well set out and it was a pleasure to cook a meal for friends who joined us for dinner.
I would definitely visit again, and would also recommend to friends.

A supebly presented farmhouse in an off the beaten track valley. Tranquil and a great alternative to the crowdedness of the coast.
Nibras, the lady who owns the property is very welcoming and helpful and available for any questions. If requested she will even go to the market and get you fresh fish for the barbie!!!!!
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property to a friend.
