This lake front estate offers a rare combination of a fabulous main lake location and extreme privacy. The home is accessed by a winding driveway and cannot be seen from the road. The main lake is directly in front of you and the views are nothing short of sensational. Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club is just across the water. Lovely rolling lawn with 2 story boathouse. A peaceful retreat with a mix of modern amenities with a feel for days gone by.
About Sharon Bagatelle

This home has been our family since 2001. Because of our children's activities, we are unable to use it as often as we would like. We have lovingly maintained the house and property and are now willing to let others experience it as well.

What makes this house unique

Lake Hopatcong offers swimming, boating and many other water sports. You can swim, kayak, canoe and raft directly off our dock. Bring or rent your own jet ski or boat. Water temperatures are pleasant during the Summer. Home has many seating and viewing possibilities, including the oversize screened porch, outside patio with wood burning fireplace. As you meander down a few steps towards the water, there is also a grassy area for sunning and relaxing. The two story boathouse also offers a deck on the second floor and an indoor seating area that could be used for the adventuresome kids to get out their sleeping bags.

Rental Rates for this vacation house rental in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • $3,500 per week, $500 per night

  • Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend (High Summer Season)
  • Weekly rental $3,500 plus $500 refundable security deposit. Half at booking.

Beautiful place to stay and the house was well maintained. I would recommend this property to anyone. Every year for the past eight years my sisters and I have been going away and staying within the New York, New Jersey, PA area and this place was by far the best. We may have found our place. What a place !!!

First impression! is WOW!!!!
As we arrived we felt at home! it's a house , it's a place to stay, it's a great Lake, it's fun , it's quite , it's lively on Week-end, it's calm in the week days.

Great for travelling to NY , train is near by ( NJ transit) ,
bring your boat , at Lee's Park for 18 $ public laugh. it 's across the lake. fisking , wake board ...name it!
the owner and care taker are freindly and available.

We are very pleased with are stay...
Please if you go... take good care of the house ....
So when i rent it again all the nice dishess, the trees , the flowers , the boat house, the BBQ's,the pool table, the TV's...DVD player, the bar, the nice tile shower,...etc are still in perfect condition.

This is the down side of this house... you need to be highly respectfull to keep it beautifull!

Relaxation at its Best!

My husband made a last minute decision to take a week off from work and really wanted to get away but we knew we couldn't go far given our kids' schedules. Our friends own this wonderful lakehouse that we had visited many times as their guests and knew that they were now offering the home for rent. Both my husband and I thought immediately about renting this fabulous lakefront home for the July 4th week. It was available and we booked it! (We were the first renters!)

From the moment we arrived, my husband started to relax! The views of the lake from the patio and the house are wonderful! We enjoyed reading on the lawn down by the boathouse while our kids hopped in and out of the lake. Most evenings we grilled dinner and then lit a fire in the fireplace on the patio and made smores. Our kids range in age from 14-19 and they were happily entertained at the lakehouse with the kayak, pool table and the swimming. Our older kids were able to drive back and forth to the lakehouse in about 45 minutes each way.

We rented a pontoon boat one day from 10am to 6pm and putzed around the lake several times - that was a highlight! The boat rental place even arranged for our $5 temporary boaters' license and we were able to come back to the house in the middle of day for lunch as there is the boat dock on site.

We found getting to shopping - both grocery and "other" - to be very simple and there seemed to be plenty of good restaurants close by. We only ate out one night but enjoyed an Italian place that was right around the corner and right on the water.

It's so hard to tell from the pictures on the website but the house is HUGE! We also love the way it is decorated - far nicer than any lake cottage I've ever been to. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C was a big bonus as temps were in the high 90's the week we were there.

We would highly recommend this lakehouse! It is comfortable, elegant, large, clean and has views and access to the lake that can't be beat!
