Overview

Brinnon House Rental Photos and Description

Hood Canal Waterfront view of Hood Canal, Dabob Bay, Mt Rainier, and Mt Baker.

This Hood Canal vacation rental is a wonder to behold: Olympic National Park at your back door, and the Dosewallips Wildlife Estuary right in front. You'll see many birds native to the Pacific Northwest including bald and golden eagles, heron, geese, ducks and more. Orca whales, seals with their pups and river otter frequent the waters in front of you and from time to time the Brinnon Elk herd may visit the yard.

A new six-person jetted spa overlooking the water allows you to take it all in while relaxing in warmth and comfort. Large upper and lower decks provide a sweeping view of Hood Canal, Dabob Bay, Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker. Private stairs to the beach with a large dock allow you to play, swim, fish or take the provided canoe out for a ride. At low tide, approximately 29 acres of previous oyster farm is available for the picking; and plump juicy oysters are wonderful done on the grill!

Just a short walk down the road is the famous Geoduck Restaurant Lounge, voted #2 'Best Bars in the U.S.' by Esquire Magazine.

The just-remodeled home boasts an amazing 2,830 square feet of beautifully appointed living that can comfortably sleep up to 12 guests. The master bedroom stretches across the entire top floor of the home in a loft style. Additionally, we have outfitted the main floor with an upgraded queen-size sleeper sofa, and we offer a folding-style crib for those traveling with little ones.

We are remodeling a second 5 bedroom home in Brinnon. That new home is called Seal Rock and is 3 miles away from Nature's Paradise. The home sleeps 14 people comfortably in beds and is 3000 square feet. The dining room table seats 12 with 12 matching chairs. The Seal Rock home will be modeled after Nature's Paradise in amenities. Reservations will be starting May 1st, please call the owner Tammy for more information or to make a reservation.

About Tammy Kreger

My husband and I bought this home in 2003 for the purpose of retiring early and living there. We're not ready to retire quite yet, and decided that we would really like to share this lovely home and the surrounding beauty with others!

I am proud and happy to say that I have lived in the Puget Sound area my entire life. One of my favorite pastimes is traveling. I have visited every continent, 60 different countries, and taken 37 cruises (so far!). Because I have spent so much time traveling, I truly have a good understanding of guests' needs and wants.

Even though I am happy to have seen so much of the world, I am always grateful to return to an area as gorgeous and diverse as the Pacific Northwest. I could choose anywhere in the world to retire to, but I have chosen Brinnon, Washington on Hood Canal for many reasons. Once you have visited this area, you will see why!

Tammy Kreger purchased this house in 2003

Why Tammy Kreger chose Brinnon

I chose this particular property because of the outstanding sweeping view of Hood Canal and Dabob Bay. There is also a great view of Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker.

My husband and I are big seafood fans and love all of the wonderful shellfish available to pluck from our beach. We also like to take advantage of the private dock for setting out to shrimp, crab and fish.

We can't imagine a more beautiful environment to vacation in. It truly is 'Nature's Paradise!'; so we hope you'll come and enjoy it for yourselves!

What makes this house unique

The 29-acre privately-owned beach is covered in the tastiest, most plump oysters on the canal (this particular area used to be an oyster farm). The tidelands also have many species of clams including butter, horse, and geoduck clams. Some of the best dungeness crabbing can be done directly in front of the home.

You are welcome to take the provided boat off the dock and put some crab pots in it to take out.You can simply paddle out a short distance and place the pots for fetching later in the day. My husband and I do so and catch our limits easily! Some of the best Hood Canal Spotted Shrimp are also caught in the waters in front of the home.

It is also fascinating to watch the nuclear submarines practice in the waters out front of the home 2 or 3 times a week. Bird watching is another fun and relaxing experience from our 1,600 square-foot upper and lower decks, and from the dock.

Often I enjoy watching the Brinnon Roosevelt elk herd graze in the Dosewallips pasture lands right from my decks. Sometimes the elk actually come to my yard and graze on my landscaping!

Girls Reunion in the Most Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5
We rented this house out for a weekend girls reunion a few weeks ago and it was perfect! The views from the porch were incredible, and the stairs down to the beach was perfect for walks and watching marine life in the distance. Earlier in the day we walked along the beach, and even though the tide comes up later on to cover the beach, we were able to go down the stairs to the dock to watch the sunset. It was gorgeous. The house slept 8 of us perfectly and we really enjoyed the big kitchen table where we served our home cooked meals while enjoying the view. The set up of the house was great, with everything centered on that view and the big living area. They also provide a TON of plates, pots, glasses, etc. which was really nice. I am quite picky when it comes to cleanliness of vacation rentals, and this exceeded my expectations! Finally, the owner was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process and very nice. I was having a hard time organize our group, but the owner was very willing to explain things and accommodate the changes. All in all it was a wonderful experience at the most perfect place. We didn't even leave the property besides to go to the beach. We all walked away from that weekend knowing it was going to be one we always remembered, and it couldn't have been possible without Nature's Paradise!! Thanks!

One More Thing.....

  • 5 of 5
I already wrote a review for this wonderful home, but I really need to add: We were refunded money for those people who didn't actually come to the home. We have college students and it was just a bad weekend for them to be gone (papers due and mid-terms to study for) so three of our party didn't show up. Tammy actually refunded us that money! WOW! We were just floored that she would do that! She is truly wonderful to work with!

STUNNING VIEWS!

  • 5 of 5
The pictures do NOT do justice to this home. SERIOUSLY the title Nature's Paradise completely describes this home. When you walk in the front door and see the wall of windows looking out over the water, it literally takes your breath away! Sometimes beach homes have that "musty" smell, but rest assured this home is so clean and fresh and no hint of beachy smell!! The kitchen has every thing you need for gourmet meals and then some! We received a gift basket upon arrival...who does that? There were even treats for our dogs! Coffee and tea were even provided! There are boats and crab pots to use for crabbing and bait in the downstairs fridge-WHO does that??? Yes there are TWO refrigerators! Plus coats, boots, head lamps, shovels for clamming, gloves, life vests, really EVERYTHING you need for a good time on the water and beach. Although we didn't use the firewood, tons of that was provided for the wood stove. We did use the outside fire pit which was teepeed up with wood for a fire (they even left us SMORE supplies!!!) Do plan on using the hot tub. It was the PERFECT temperature to sit in and enjoy the bay views. DID I mention the wonderful beds and luxury bedding/sheets? I slept like a rock the entire time. It's so quiet and peaceful here. Do visit the Geoduck Restaurant which is just down the road about 1/8 of a mile (maybe closer than that). It has HUGE burgers. I have never seen such big burgers! You can easily share one between two people. Contrary to Yelp reviews, the service was fast and very friendly! Do come prepared because there really aren't grocery stores very near by. But you will LOVE this home and the amazing experience of seeing bald eagles, seals, and hauling up tons of crab right in front of your home! Also, rest assured Tammy will answer your questions/concerns RIGHT away. I have dealt with many VRBO owners but she is by far the most responsive person I have ever worked with. Rest assured she will be there for you!! HIGHLY recommended!!

Owner's Response: We are so happy that you and your family had such a wonderful stay at Nature's Paradise. It is so fun to use our boats, crab pots, crab bait, and catch loads of Dungeness crab right in front of our homes. During crab season you can count on catching 95% Dungeness crab and 5% Red Rock crab. You would not believe how good the crab tastes fresh caught. You can cook the crab in our outside propane crab cooker on the lower deck.

I am proud and grateful for having such a wonderful cleaning team, this house is not easy to clean. My team takes 10 hours minimum to clean the house, treat the spa, restock fire wood, restock crab bait, and numerous other duties to have the house ready for our next guests. We are happy to supply crab pots, crab bait, shovels and buckets for clams, oyster knives, head lamps, and much more for our guests. Most of my guests are from out of state and fly to our home, luggage restrictions don't allow for bringing many things you need to experience Hood Canal. All five bedrooms have high quality mattresses, high thread count sheets, and comfy pillows, not just the master bedroom. I am very happy to answer any and all questions, I always have my cell phone on me except when I am sleeping. We will look forward to welcoming you and your family back for your next stay. Thank you, Tammy

Great family reunion location

  • 5 of 5
Our family enjoyed staying at Nature's Paradise with our last family reunion. All the amenities and more were available for us to use. We loved the little canoe ride, and there were plenty of life jackets available for everybody.

A most memorable 30th birthday for my wife

  • 5 of 5
It was amazing!! We had some close friends and family in for her 30th birthday. We caught crabs, made risotto, hit up the local bar, and had a great time. The owners were wonderful and made our trip special. Would rebook with them in a heartbeat.

It is Perfect!

  • 5 of 5
We have our classmate reunion at the end of June here. Everything is perfect, better than our expectation. The waterfront view, hot tub, fire pit, and a lot of oysters. The house is very nice and quite. With the nearby state park trail your can walk around the beach and the forest. Hurricane Ridge is just within one and half hours. It is our best reunion, pleasant and relax. And Tammy is very nice and helpful. We will definitely come back again.

Owner's Response: We are so glad that you enjoyed Nature's Paradise so much. We have tried to equip the house with different things to make your stay more enjoyable. It is very nice to walk down our stairs onto the beach and pick oysters and dig clams. We will look forward to welcoming you back for your next stay. Thank you, Tammy
