Amazing Views

I stayed here for three nights in Feb. The weather was great and the view was beautiful. The sound of the water hitting the rocks at night is like nothing I'd ever experienced.

Great rental.

From the moment we walked thru the door we both knew we found our "Home away From Home"!, clean well maintained with the greatest view I've ever seen, not to mention the host went above and beyond to see all our needs were met, we WILL be returning next year!, thanks again Don!!

My husband and I stayed here June 15-22, 2013. This is an amazing property at a fantastic location. At high tide during the "super moon," the waves were right under us. The beach access is fantastic. Once in the door, it has the feel of a secluded oasis even though it is right on PCH. You can see the ocean right from the bed! The kitchen is well equipped, the appliances are fantastic and the house is spotless. The deck is fantastic for lounging. The place is perfect for couples. Don was great to work with and communication (via email and phone) was a breeze. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Malibu...except for maybe Don's other property upstairs.

The nearby dining choices are wonderful if you decide not to cook for a few days. We were able to cook many meals in the kitchen over the course of a week, but sometimes we wanted to dine out. There are great places in the Malibu Country Market mall down the road (try Taverna Tony's, Howdy's and Marmalade Cafe). Cholada Beach Thai Restaurant is excellent and Moonshadow was great for drinks on the beach (we didn't try the food, but it looked good).
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

My girlfriend and I had a great time here. The property is immaculate and certainly lives up to its name. Don was fantastic and was readily available for any questions we had. We'd recommend this spot in a heartbeat, and definitely plan on returning!

YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER VALUE IN MALIBU!

Best vacation week ever! Temperatures ranged from the 60’s to 90’s! We were speechless at the beauty of it all. Stepping onto the deck & seeing the ocean right in front of you is breathtaking. We saw seals & dolphins within 10 min. of arriving & sightings were abundant every day of the week. We didn't need the binoculars that are provided because they swim by so close. This lower unit is private & peaceful. No noise was heard from the upper level or the busy PCH. The soothing sounds of the ocean are all that is audible 24/7. High tide waves crash right under the deck & at low tide there’s plenty of beach to walk on. There’s a tide clock provided which is helpful to plan walks. A welcome package offers suggestions for places to visit, grocery shop, dine, etc. The Wi-Fi is super-fast, the TVs have tons of channels & the light switches are labelled! On the deck is a patio set, BBQ, Adirondack & lounge chairs, beach & bagged chairs, a boogie board & surfboard. The king bed is ultra-comfy with great linens & pillows. There’s also extra pillows, blankets, towels, iron, etc. The bathrooms are equally well-stocked with plenty of toilet paper (very nice by the way, not the cheap stuff!), paper towel, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. The toilet flushes great & the shower’s water pressure is excellent (may seem odd to mention but these are a bonus to us!). The kitchen does not disappoint either...plenty of pots & pans, dishes, measuring cups/spoons, wine & margarita glasses, corkscrew, coffee pot, even Pyrex dishes, a blender and a crockpot! Some extras include: spices, coffee, water, laundry detergent for the 2 in-unit frontload washers/dryers, and Von’s & Ralph’s grocery store cards for additional savings! We avoided the busy freeways and took Lincoln Blvd. to & from LAX (where we stopped at Whole Foods & Ralph’s on the way in). Don is the perfect owner...he respects your privacy, yet makes sure you have his number in case anything is needed. Because he has thought of everything, we didn't need to call him once! Our entire vacation was easily booked via e-mail with all the necessary details provided. We e-mailed Don upon arrival & again when we left. He responded promptly and our security deposit was refunded on the day we left. As an added bonus, a discount is given for repeat vacationers! Our advice: RUN, don’t walk, to this fabulous oceanfront vacation rental. We hope it is as magnificent for you & your family, as it was for us…truly the best value in Malibu!
