This cute house is newly remodeled with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, a fenced back yard. The bathroom has marble, the kitchen has granite countertops and all new appliances. Lovely hardwood floors abound. In addition to the 2 bedrooms and bath, the house has a living room, a gathering room, a large eating space in the kitchen, a full laundry room with art table for indoor fun. The large back yard is fenced, so well-behaved pets are welcome, too. The back patio has two sets of outdoor furniture and lots of pretty flowers. The neighborhood is friendly and located perfectly. Everything is close-by. You won't even need your car unless you want to explore the beautiful mountains and hills and scenery around the community.

About EVA CARLETON, Owner

This house is owned by an older couple who purchased the house because of its location (so near to the heart of town) and its proximity to family members who live in the neighborhood and love it. When we retire, we will probably move to this area because our grandkids live close-by and because the area is simply so cute and conveniently close to all of the fun activities and restaurants in Coeur d'Alene.

Comfortable and Convenient Cottage; Excellent Value

This home has virtually everything you need for a fun Cd'A vacation. It's spotlessly clean, well appointed, and convenient to Sherman Ave., the lake, and great hiking. My wife and I rented this house in early July. We wanted to use it as a base camp to take advantage of the great bike and hiking trails in the general area. If you like biking, this is the place to be. The Centennial Trail, which goes all the way to Spokane, is a block away from the house. Two other trails, the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes and the Route of the Hiawatha are not far by car. We also went to Moscow, Idaho (a fun, laid-back college town around 85 miles away), and took another rail trail into Pullman, Washington. The hiking is also great. Tubbs Hill is right behind the house--we walked to the top at dawn every morning. Other, more challenging trails, such as the Caribou Trail, are not far by car. The house is separated from the lake by a beautiful and well maintained city park. Nearby are the shops on Sherman Ave. (we went to the Parkside Bakery for it's fresh bread virtually every day); there is a farmers market on Wednesday afternoons. The owner provided a number of conveniences--hotel type soap and shampoo in the bathroom, a hair drier, laundry and dish detergent. There is also a BBQ grill in the back yard and a very comfortable patio and garden. Great for breakfasts and dinners outdoors. My wife and I have rented houses around the world and this was one of the best in terms of comfort, convenience and value. BTW, one fun thing that's off the beaten track--prospecting for garnets. It's a bit of a drive but well worth it for the scenic ride and pure fun. Wallace, Idaho, is also fun for a side trip.

I rented this home for one week in Mid-May 2014 and it was a lovely experience all-around. The home is quaint and very clean (thank you for this!), and the pictures provided give you a very accurate feel. The location is truly fantastic - just a few blocks to the main street of town, or to the hiking trail or to the marina -- really just so perfect. The street is a quiet one, so it doesn't get much better than this in my opinion. Eva was a delight to coordinate with - prompt, friendly & professional. I wish I could have stayed longer. The only downside to this home is the sitting/tv area, but don't come to Cd'A to sit on a couch anyway! I do recommend this home - it's lovely & fairly priced!

Nice home in quiet neighborhood

My husband and I along with our four-legged kids spent a week in Coeur d'Alene. Having planned the trip at the tailend of summer, we were uncertain about the weather. Since this was the time that was convenient for us, we contacted Eva and she assured as that rain can be expected, but it would be nice for the most part. Booking this rental was a breeze. Eva was such a pleasure to work with. The house is clean and located in a wonderful neighborhood. Tree-lined streets, the lake, Tubbs Hill and Sherman Ave. are all within walking distance from the home. At first we were disappointed that the rental did not have cable, but there is so much to see and do in CDA that the DVDs we brought with us was enough to keep us entertained at the house. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would need to cook meals.
We spent a day at Silverwood Theme Park, shopped, flew over the CDA Lake on a seaplane and ate at Grille from Ipanema (churrascaria), Beverly's at the resort and Cedars Floating Restaurant - all highly recommended! We were told by the locals that the town "shuts down" after the summer season so some businesses offer great discounts. We did get 50% off at Silverwood and some of the stores downtown.

Great vacation rental!

We absolutely loved this home!

It is well located, just a few minutes walk from both CdA's fun downtown, Tubbs Hill trails and the beach. We walked everywhere...the car remained parked (large parking pad at the back) for almost the entire time we were there.

The house itself....awesome! It was very clean and well maintained, and it is evident that much thought and care went into the renovation and decor. The home is beautifully and tastefully decorated with quality items....comfortable beds, high-end linens, lots of big fluffy towels, and plenty of quality dishware (lots of it, and matching!), cutlery (again, lots of it!), and good cookware. The BBQ was a nice plus, as well. We used the AC only occasionally, as ceiling fans and opening of the windows later in the day were enough to keep things comfortable. In the evening, we'd sit in the front room watching something from the home's good selection of DVDs, when out of the corner of our eye we'd see movement....we had a nightly visitor from nearby Tubbs Hill....deer!

The owner, Eva, was a joy to deal with, and really goes all out to ensure visitors are well looked after. Many times through our week stay the kids said "good choice of house, mom!". I couldn't agree more! We would not hesitate to recommend this rental, and look forward to a return trip!

I recently stayed here with my girlfriend and some of my family members for Ironman. The location of this house could not have been better! It is only a few blocks from many great shops and restaurants on Sherman Ave, and has extremely easy access to both I-90 and I-95 to get in and out of town. It also ended up being only 2 blocks off the Ironman race course, which enabled my family to head back to the house in between watching me race. I also can't say enough about Eva's hospitality, she was very easily approachable and worked hard the week before we arrived to ensure the Internet access and the BBQ were ready for us. I'd highly recommend this house, and would gladly stay there again in the future!

Perfect Place and Location!

My daughter and I rented this darling house at the last minute to assist our family with their move to
Coeur D' Alene.
My husband and I have been long time VRBO clients and I must say, this was one of the nicest and easiest I have rented. Talk about location...you are within walking distance to many shops and restaurants, not to mention a wonderful bakery. Not only is the house well stocked with every necessity you could ask for, but immaculate!
The house has a very private and fenced back yard, that I know we would totally enjoy during warmer months...and we are returning in August to do just that! Thank you Eva for sharing your lovely vacation rental home and we look forward to seeing you this summer. I would highly recommend this property to all of our family and friends!

The greatest amenities of this house are LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! It is in a nice neighborhood of turn of the century small homes, located only a few blocks from the main downtown street (Sherman Avenue) where you will find a great assortment of unique boutiques and dozens of small funky restaurants. The large Resort is 4 blocks away. TubbsHill is 2 blocks away. Swimming, boating, and beaches of Lake Coeur d'Alene are 2 to 3 blocks away. There is so much to do you will simply have to come back each summer and work your way through all of the wonderful activity choices available: boating of all sorts, parasailing, fishing, white-water rafting, hiking, biking, golfing (about 40 golf courses in the near vicinity), Silverwood (a huge amusement park destination about 30 minutes away), skiing in the winter.... if you can think of it, it is available in this wonderful resort location of Coeur d'Alene. And you will be living in the very center of it all.
