Because the running water in the cottage comes directly from the lake, the owners have installed a whole house UV water filtration system that all of the water goes through before it enters the house. As a precautionary measure, the owners recommend that you bring your own drinking water. A brita filter pitcher is available for use if you would prefer not to bring your own drinking water. The water is safe for cooking and bathing.
You must bring your own bed linens, pillows, blankets, and towels with you. Limited bed linens, pillows, blankets, and towels are available for use if you would rather not bring your own, but if used, must be washed and put away at the end of your stay in the same condition as you found them.
Swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, or any activities on or near the property are strictly at your own risk.
My friends and I can't say enough wonderful things about this property!! We are all spread out and it is hard to get together often, and this cottage was exactly what we were looking for on our grils getaway weekend! Julie and Adam are wonderful owners and their home is clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything you need. The pictures hardly do this property justice,we were so impressed with all the touches the owner gave the property to make their guests feel at home. The girls and I had a wonderful time relaxing on the dock, swimming, grilling, playing games, and just enjoying the scenery. The highlight was certainly sitting on the dock catching some amazing sunsets and then one night being treated to fireworks going on around the lake! We visited the Kings Ferry Winery and had a blast sampling the delicious local wines and the employees were friendly and made our visit special. If you are looking for a place to come and relax with friends or family look no further. We made some wonderful memories and we look forward to returning next summer! Thanks again Adam and Julie!
This is our second mini vacation here and hope to be back again. Love the fire pit by the water and kayaks.
We rented this cottage for a brief vacation after moving my niece into Ithaca College. The cottage was cozy and perfect for all of our needs. We appreciated that the kitchen was fully stocked and paper goods were provided since we had limited packing space in our vehicle. The location was a convenient home base after travels to area parks and waterfalls. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out, fires by the lake, skipping rocks and beautiful sunsets. Couldn't ask for more! Thank you to the owners for great communication and instruction which made our stay very comfortable and the check out process clear & simple.
Everything we were looking for in a lake cabin. Very comfortable, exceptionally well stocked, particularly with kitchen equipment, and even a first aid drawer with anything you might need. Our kids 5 and 3 and we enjoyed the kayaks and the swimming immensely. Sitting and eating under that tree, watching the water and the sunsets from the picnic table is truly special. One complaint? The bathroom is comically cramped. A minor annoyance.
This little cottage was perfect for our family & friend reunion. The location on the lake was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. We spent most of our time on the dock, drinking coffee in the morning and watching the sunset each night. The kayaks were terrific to explore the shoreline and we rented a pontoon for the day to tour the lake. We were close to restaurants, wineries and attractions so there was something for everyone in our party. The cottage was tiny but spotless and our perfect home base. Good things come in small packages!
The cottage was a great place to get away and perfect for the family. The place had everything we needed for our visit from the kitchen to entertainment (tv,cable, radio) to the lake. The kayaks were great for the lake, life vests where on site and had multiple sizes. The dock has a great view of the lake and the surrounding valley, you can also fish off it or feed the ducks that visited us every morning!
There are a ton of things to do in the local area; wineries, shopping, boat tours, and local restaurants. We will be going back next summer and highly recommend this cozy cottage along one of the best lakes I have ever visited!!
