Spacious 4 bedroom 2 bath cabin backs into the national forest.

WELCOME to our vacation home! This comfortable and spacious 4 bedroom cabin is perfect for the whole family yet intimate enough for a romantic getaway. Enjoy some quality time in a tranquil mountain setting.

Our cabin is located on a wooded lot in upper Moonridge nestled in the San Bernadino National Forest. Centrally located and close to shopping, restaurants, skiing, and the lake with only a 10 minute drive to just about everything.

Newly renovated with a knotty pine interior, and a HUGE new Treetop deck with a 6 person hot tub! A true mountain retreat... we want you to have that cozy,cabin feeling as soon as you step through the front door. After all, isn't that why you are coming to the mountains in the first place?

Loaded with all the comforts of home, our 4 bedroom 2 bath cabin comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms each with king size beds and one bath. Downstairs are the kids rooms, one featuring bunk beds and the other twin trundle beds. High quality bed linens and towels are provided as well as a large fully equipped kitchen with seating for eight.

We love all 4 seasons in Big Bear and it is a very dog friendly community. Two great ski resorts with plenty of winter fun. Explore the many hiking trails with your 4 legged friends all year long. In the summer spend a day on the lake or stroll through the quaint village.

Having grown up in the mountains of upstate NY I have always dreamed of owning a cabin in the woods. Presently living in Las Vegas, Big Bear seemed like the perfect choice for our second home. We fell in love with this cabin the moment we stepped out on the deck and experienced the peacefulness of the forest setting.

What makes this cabin unique

MoonRidge Location PRIVACY!!! For those of you unfamiliar with the area this means spacious lots in a PEACEFUL mountain setting. You will never have that 'packed in' feeling like some of the other neighborhoods in town. Our backyard is the National Forest with wide open spaces to discover. Take note on the map... no roads or homes behind us!

Stroll through the Village and have lunch at one of the quaint restaurants after a day of shopping. Over 300 sunny days a year in Big Bear so take advantage of the great weather! Notes: Very well appointed with PotteryBarn and other high quality furnishings throughout. Ceiling fans, DVD players, wi-fi, firewood, and even blow dryers for the ladies! Lots of room outside to explore and run around for the kids( 4 legged ones as well!) as the property backs into the National Forest. Although this cabin was nicely decorated and cozy, I would not ever stay here again. After making my deposit for a three night stay, I received a subsequnt email from VRBO giving me the date that the balance was due. FOUR DAYS before the remaining balance was due, I received a cranky email from the owner, telling me that she had never had to chase down money from renters. I emailed her back the link from VRBO explaining that the payment wasn't due at that point...and no reply...or apology for her email. On the drive to Big Bear at about 3:30pm, we were called by their management company. They directed us to check in at an alternative location...never said anything about a late check in fee....Then when checking out....their cleaning service shows up right at 11am. Our cars were completely packed and we were on the deck taking pictures. My husband told the cleaning lady this, and she said...no problem...take your time....she waited maybe 10 minutes MAX!
When I received my refund for DAMAGE DEPOSIT, $30 was missing. When I inquired, I was told by the owner that it was because we checked in late and made the cleaning lady wait. RIDICULOUS!
Owner's Response: I am very sorry this guest was upset about the rules and the rental agreement that I have in place for renting my home. Yes it is always advisable to read all the fine print so there will be no surprises. Please keep in mind there are always two sides to every story.

My family & I enjoyed this cozy cabin and plan to return. It was well appointed, clean and comfortable (I slept comfortably in one of the two king sized beds). We really enjoyed the jacuzzi as well. Debra, the owner, is very responsive, professional and helpful. Don't hesitate to rent this place!

Everything we wanted it to be

Just got back a few hours ago from an awesome weekend in Big Bear. 4 adults and 3 young kids and this was the perfect cabin. All the amenities we needed, spacious, and a great new hot tub! We loved it and would return in a heart beat. Maybe even in the summer.

Great cabin for a big family

I brought my wife and four children to Big Bear for a holiday weekend and stayed in this cabin. It was very roomy and had many nice little touches. Very comfortable beds. The hot tub on the deck was great. The downstairs kids' bedrooms could get a bit chilly at night, but stayed warm enough if the doors were kept closed. The owner was very responsive to questions we had while we were there. Nice, comfortable cabin.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: I have provided a "Consumer Reports- BEST RATED" space heater in each of the downstairs bedrooms if some extra heat is needed on those chilly winter nights.
