This property is ideal for families with children due to the seperate children's pool and secure walled & gated gardens. The pool & gardens are fully lit in the evenings for romantic alfresco dining on the vernadas in the warm evenings. The beach & ocean plus many fine restaurants are minutes walk away. Taxis are abundant in the area and buses run every 20mins to the town centre from the beach if a car is not desired

Having lived in Portugal most of my adult life & loving this part of the Algarve, especially Lagos, Porto de Mós was the obvious choice as it still retains its typical Portuguese charm and as this is where I live it seemed the right choice to provide high quality holidays right here

Truly relaxing family holiday

We've just spent a wonderful 2 weeks in Porto de Mos.
The apartment was absolutely beautiful, had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean.
We found some great restaurants in Lagos, our favourites were Bahia and The Garden. Definitely worth a visit or two.
Easy walk to the beach where we rented sun loungers and chilled. Two good restaurants at the beach, which were perfect for lunch and ice creams so no need to rush back.
The only reason we didn't award this property 5 stars, was the lack of parasols by the pool. The temperatures in July/August averaged 34' and there was just no shade. Hence we only used the pool once it was in the shade. Parasols required please!!
Any problems and John, the owner was very easy to contact and soon sorted them out. Easy to find using John's directions from the airport, thanks.
A wonderful holiday and we are definitely considering a return visit next Summer.

Great apartment, well kept

This apartment is just as spacious and luxurious as the pictures promise! Everything was working fine and really clean. We (2 Germans) stayed 6 nights.

We were lucky, and had the entire building for ourselves most of the time. I would definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to stay in Lagos. The beach and Antonio's is in walking distance, for the city centre and shopping I'd suggest a car. What else... the TV is set for British viewers.

Excellent Property

We really enjoyed our stay at Porto De Mos - the apartment is very well equiped and exactly as presented. The quiet location suited our party perfectly (Family of 4 with children aged 13 & 9). The beach is in easy reach but everywhere else required the car we hired.

We would reccomend the property to all but would acknowledge that families with older children might find the location too peaceful. The appartment proved to be an excellent base from which to reach the wider Algarve,

Fab apartment in lovely area!!

We (me, hubbie and 3 kids) spent a lovely week in this gorgeous apartment in May, everything you could want is provided very luxurious shower was amazing!!! Very secure although it takes a bit of getting used to with all the different keys!! Pool was grand caters to all ages and abilities- would be a bit worried if every apartment was let re overcrowding.
You can walk to the beach and there are two bars/cafes there had lunch/snacks in both and they are fine, took some lovely cliff walks. Would def recommend a car as you are too far from resort etc without one.
Only minus I can think of was the struggle we had to find the apartment we spent quite a while driving around the "complex" go past the bins take next left then take first right and your there!
Lagos itself is lovely very charming and plenty of places to eat our fab was the beachside restaurant on the right by the old fort the fish we had was the best ever and excellent service, also had a lovely meal at the Venezia restaurant again fab food good service.
Will definitely be returning in future
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Classy Apartment

We stayed in the Apartment for a week at Easter, and found this apartment to be the last word in luxury. First class furniture and layout, kitchen is very modern and very well equipped, two very spacious bedrooms and two luxurious bathrooms. Our balcony overlooked the pool area which is very private, very well maintained with ample sunbed facilities. The apartment is located a short walk down to a beautiful beach which has two very good restaurants serving excellent food. You would need a car to travel to Lagos which is a very nice picturesque town with lovely cobbled streets and a good variety of first class restaurants. We really had a very enjoyable week here and look forward to our next visit!!!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

The beach is wind protected and at low tide there are many small rock pools ideal for children. Kayaking, boating & surfing is available on the beach & trips are all day from Lagos Marina & boulevard
