Good Experience

My family and I stayed in this house for 4 nights and we really enjoyed the location. The house was big enough for our group of 6, it has a large living room, separate sitting area and a big dining room and kitchen. The view was nice sitting on the patio outside in the front yard. The house was clean and the bedrooms were cool, but it was a little warm in the kitchen and dining room during the afternoon when it's hot outside. The owner Lee was great to deal with, informative and nice. He is a chief and during our stay was in process of opening a restaurant in town. He gave us a very good tip to bring some food with us to save on our grocery bill, which we did and it saved us tons of money. The airline actually allows you to bring meat on the plane as long as it is frozen with no liquid. This worked really well, we brought shrimp, filet minon, chicken and ribs on dry ice in a small cooler as a carry on, and a bunch of dry food in our suitcase (we are on a budget). We only spent $100 at the grocery store. Of course saving all this money allowed us to go out to eat a few times. The Salt Rock Grill 1 minute walk from the house was really good, we got the local snapper which was wonderful.
On the way from the airport our taxi driver stopped in Hamilton so we could get our bus passes which was a really good idea since the next day we were ready to go with our bus/ferry pass. We took a bus to the dockyard 15 min away and took the very nice 45min ferry to St.George.
Our boys went fishing every day across the street from the house or 5 min down the road on the bridge, that was their highlight. The water is so clear they can see the fish they were trying to catch.
Thanks Lee for a very nice stay.
