Enjoy Rome and BABYORSETTO! After a full day, you'll enjoy going back to its quiet and comfort, lay back on the sofas with a drink and relax watching TV or listening to the radio while organizing your next days activities, checking your mail or talking over Skype to your beloved ones back home!

Special care to comfort: the best bed we could get, a spacious bathroom, the increasingly rare bathtub, ample living room, dining area, TV, fast WIFI internet, efficient heating and AC.

In the evening prepare a dinner at home, in the tiny but well appointed kitchen; or enjoy traditional Roman food in the nearby countless restaurants.

ALWAYS The Best!

  • 5 of 5

Ciao tutti,

Stayed in Baby Orsetto for 10 days; nothing short of Paradiso. This is the perfect location with everything going for it. This Manager and his staff are always the most attentive; the apartments are always lovely, clean and perfectly appointed. I always go to Massimo's "Orsetto" sites before booking anything else. Beds, televisions, views, comfort and style of apartments, kitchens, etc. I love love love staying here. Can't wait to come again. Grazie grazie mille.

The Perfect Apartment for a Roman Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Baby Orsetto for one week and it was fantastic! Booking was easy and communication was smooth. I changed my dates and the website was quirky, but that is no reflection on the attention provided by Filippo. Check in and out were seamless. Irina was my check in contact and she was waiting for me at our appointed time and she was efficient in showing me around arranging for my departure. There was a notebook in the room with helpful information: I suggest adding a blurb about the washing machine in this book. I looked up operating instructions on YouTube and once I knew how to use the machine all was fine. The WiFi worked great, allowing me to plan my activities as the week progressed.

The apartment is an an old villa with entry directly off Piazza Navona. The walk through the villa to the lift is through two open air courtyards. The lift worked flawlessly; however, the walk up or down the stairs is beautiful. The stairway is very wide and ornate, different from the industrial stairways I am accustomed to.

The apartment is VERY spacious, due in part to the high ceilings throughout. The pictures are accurate, but a camera cannot capture the true spirit of the space. The kitchen is very functional for its size: we cooked every breakfast and dinner and a few lunches in the apartment. The market is less than one block from the apartment, making cooking especially easy. There is an abundance of closet/dresser space which allowed us to fully unpack and not feel cramped. The dining area was lovely. The table sits in a corner surrounded by two floor to ceiling french doors, one overlooking Piazza Navona and one overlooking a side street.

The location is great, foot accessible to everything we wanted to do in and around Rome. If you want to take public transit, there are several bus stops one block off the Piazza that service all areas of Rome.

We were in Rome Christmas week and it was very lively. Piazza Navona is a central location with a lot of activity that week, which had its good aspects <street life> and its bad aspects <noise from street life>. We were able to see fireworks from our room on New Year's Eve, which was a special treat.

I highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to be in the city center. The owner and his staff are great and the apartment is wonderful.

Baby Orsetto - perfect for Rome Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 8 great nights in Baby Orsetto.

The bedroom was very spacious with plenty of room for hang up clothes as well as dresser/folding clothes. The bed was bigger than a queen and very comfortable. I believe that the bedroom is bigger than most in the area. All wood floors in bedroom and everywhere else.

The bathroom was very nice and again spacious. Having a tub and shower (handheld) was a nice feature, but need to remember to keep the wall switch “on” for the water heater.

Kitchen was small, with convenience fridge, microwave, gas stove, small dishwasher and plenty of utensils, dishes and pots/pans. We did not cook much so the kitchen was a place for small breakfast items, pop, etc. The laundry machine worked fine, once we figured out how to use it. The manual is in Italian of course, but a little internet search and we washed several times. The apartment has a clothes rack that if we laid out wet clothes one day, the next they would be dry. What a luggage room saver to know that you can do laundry.

Family room was big with slightly dated furniture, but comfortable. The big glass doors open up to a railing with great views and nice breezes. The TV was there, but when you are busy eating, shopping, sightseeing and living like a Roman, who has time to watch TV broadcast in Italian?

The elevator is easy to use and gets to actually higher than you need to go, but due to building elevation differences, you have to go down a set of stairs (easy) to get to Baby Orsetto. No problem.

Dealing with Fillippo and his staff of Lavinia and Iryna was splendid and they are easy to do business with. They could be reached any time by phone or email.

We explored all of Rome using buses and footpower to get everywhere. I would and will recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Rome and would stay there again.

Fantastic place in central Rome

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was very comfortable, clean with everything required for a long stay and above all it was stunningly quiet. Between the air conditioning and the double shutters and the fact that the bedroom faces the side street, the apartment managed to be located on the circus of the Piazza Navona and still be comfortable for sleeping. The views from the apartment windows onto the Piazza (the river Ganges is the one you see on Bernini's fountain) and over the roofs to St. Ivo's cupola are simply beautiful. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a central location in Rome. My only suggestion would be to leave a written list of the markets and other services in the neighborhood in the apartment. It took me too long to realize that the Despar market had a back door entrance onto the Piazza Massimi right in back of the apartment. The Carrefour on Governo Vecchio is better but it is much farther away. Also Fornaio which is nearby is a good place for baked goods. Finally, the photos are completely accurate but they understate the comfort and ease of the apartment. This is one fabulous place to stay.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in this huge apartment. There was so much room it was lovely to spread out. It is in an excellent location right on Piazza Novona! With a supermarket around the corner we cooked a few delicious meals in the kitchen but also enjoyed the many restaurants right on our doorstep. It was so close to everything and we enjoyed walking to all major attractions. Also enjoyed the excellent aircon on some very hot days. Used washing machine, internet and huge wardrobes to hang clothes and put things away.Nice to get out of the suitcase for a week.

I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

The only negative things were that there was a noisy couple who would sing or talk most nights down on the street in the wee small hours. (not sure if they were restaurant owners or locals enjoying themselves) They did wake us up but with lots of walking all day we soon drifted off again. My biggest disappointment was that the building was surrounded by scaffolding and we couldn't open any of the shutters leaving it a bit dark inside with no view. We bumped into Filippo as he has another apartment in the building and he said he had no choice in the restoration. I guess it is only temporary (not sure how long) but it would have been nice to be advised of this.

If the scaffolding is down-book it. You'll love it!

PIAZZA NAVONA is one of the grandest piazzas in Rome, a triumph of baroque art, where Bernini and Borromini, two giants of architecture, challenged each other with their formidable masterpieces. Nearby, in Corso Rinascimento, Borromini built one of the finest examples of Baroque, the magnificent church of St. Yves. Don't miss it!
