With Grenada’s emerald green mountains in backdrop, and the sparkling turquoise ocean just a coconut’s throw away, Heron’s Flight is a picture perfect holiday villa rental. Tucked away from the busiest part of Grenada, the Villa is located in Westerhall Point’s exclusive and quiet peninsula - just a 15 minutes picturesque drive from the airport. Heron’s Flight Villa presents a unique, semi-open architectural design and is gracefully built into an east-south side of Arawak Hill - in full harmony with nature. You will think it has always been there! Heron’s Fight is an uncommon and unpretentious three bedroom self-catering villa rental, ready to accommodate comfortable up to 6 guests. The Villa offers 3 specious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Travelers cot for a baby is also available. The upper bedroom has a private balcony, middle room opens to private courtyard and lower bedroom opens to main terrace. Entire Villa is surrounded by mature, tropical garden.
I am married to the daughter of a Grenadian couple who have retired back to the island after spending their working lives in the UK. We have therefore visited Grenada often and for anybody that doesn't know the island is stunning, the definition of paradise, friendly, beautiful, unspoilt, great weather and beaches, everything you would want from a holiday destination.
So now we come to Heron's flight. The house is perched on the ridge of a narrow headland that slopes quickly away to the ocean. This creates a stunning location, with incredible views of two beautiful bays, especially from the terrace of the house which stretches the length of the property and includes a swimming pool which is petite but a perfect size for the house. If you have children you can sit on the terrace while they play safely in the pool, but for me the best time to sit there is at sunset, when it cools down and all you can hear is the chirping crickets. There is also a secluded beach at the bottom of the hill.
The house is fifteen minutes from the airport and the most popular beach, Grand Anse, around which there are many very nice restaurants and shops, and a further ten minute drive takes you to the capital, St George. It's a quiet island but night life and great live music are available if you make a few enquiries.
There are three double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, so the house can comfortably accommodate three couples or two families. The kitchen is well equipped, including a dishwasher and washing machine, although most of the housework is done by the hardworking and friendly staff who also keep the house very clean.
For entertainment there is cable TV, DVD, music, free wifi and the use of a phone. To summarize, the house has everything that a modern high quality hotel would provide short of catering. The owners also recommend a car hire firm which rents to Heron's Flight visitors at a discount rate.
Would love to say more, no space. 100% recommended with many thanks to Heron's Flight..
